We have our own film and mo-cap studio, we create board games, publish books, and through 2000AD, publish comics and graphic novels such as the amazing Judge Dredd.

We are in search of a skilled Lead Environment Artist to take the reins in crafting the stunning visual landscape for an exciting new Sci-Fi shooter project! In this role, you will work closely with a creative team to craft stunning environments that set the tone and enhance gameplay. We can provide a relocation package, including moving assistance, temporary accommodation, and full support to ensure a smooth transition to your new environment.

We believe in the power of face-to-face collaboration and encourage working from our Oxford headquarters. However, we understand that flexibility matters, so we’re open to discussing hybrid options based on individual needs.

  • Guide world-building team to create terrains, structures, textures and engaging environments.
  • Proactively assist with production estimates, scheduling and tracking.
  • Challenge and help redefine technical and artistic processes by collaborating with key stakeholders, tech art and code to set long term technical goals.
  • Communicate with centralised teams regarding photogrammetry, outsourcing and materials.

Requirements

  • Solid experience in leading and managing a team of artists, with a focus on nurturing talent.
  • Proficiency in Blender is highly desirable; however, experience with other 3D software such as 3D Studio Max and Maya is also acceptable.

About The Company

Founded in 1992, Rebellion is one of Europe’s biggest independent multimedia studios. Its flagship Sniper Elite series is renowned for its authentic stealth and sniping gameplay with more than 20 million players worldwide. 2000 AD is synonymous with the absolute finest in British comic book art. With the acquisition of a $100m film studio and the world’s largest archive of English language comics, Rebellion continues to go from strength to strength.

Rebellion now operates across books, comics, TV and film, but at its core it’s still a leading developer and publisher of games. Whether it’s the breathtaking intensity of Sniper Elite 4, the face-hugging terror of Aliens vs. Predator or the grindhouse frenzy of the Zombie Army series, the Oxford-based studio is revered for creating stand-out games designed to thrill.
