Job Description

Rebellion is seeking an IT Technician to join their Service Delivery team at their Oxford headquarters. This role involves providing first-line support, assembling and maintaining computers, and engaging in service delivery projects. The technician will support PCs, laptops, peripherals, operating systems, software, and game-specific applications. They will also manage user accounts, maintain IT assets, and assist with workstation setup, collaborating with a broader IT team and supporting the entire Rebellion Group.
Must have:
  • Provide first-line support through service desk
  • Assemble and maintain computers for the business
  • Provide support for PCs, laptops and peripherals
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems, software, and development tools
  • Support developers and artists with game-specific applications
  • Monitor and maintain studio networks, servers, and storage solutions
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and security in Active Directory, Office 365
  • Assist in setting up and maintaining workstations, build machines, and test hardware
  • Maintain accurate records of IT assets and licenses
  • Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff or external vendors
  • Support on-site and remote staff
  • Professional experience in a Windows desktop support role, especially with Windows 11
  • Professional experience supporting Microsoft 365 applications and services
  • Confident with PC/laptop hardware—installing, upgrading and maintaining devices
  • Solid grasp of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs)

For 30 years we’ve been independently developing and publishing incredible video games at our multiple studios founded by Jason & Chris Kingsley, but Rebellion is more than just games. We have our own film studio, we create board games, publish books, and through 2000AD, publish comics and graphic novels such as the amazing Judge Dredd.

We are looking for a new IT Technician to join our Service Delivery team!

In this role you will provide first-line support through our service desk, assemble and maintain computers for the business, and engage in exciting project work focused on service delivery. You will be working in our IT Service Delivery team, a tight-knit group located in five offices, collaborating closely with our broader IT team including Operations, Networking, Security, and Management, as well providing support to the entire Rebellion Group.

This role is based at our riverside headquarters in Oxford, offering a creative and relaxed atmosphere where teamwork drives our success. We can provide a relocation package, including moving assistance, temporary accommodation, and full support to ensure a smooth transition to your new environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for PCs, laptops and peripherals.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems, software, and development tools.
  • Support developers and artists with game-specific applications (e.g., Autodesk tools, Perforce).
  • Monitor and maintain studio networks, servers, and storage solutions under senior guidance.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and security in Active Directory, Office 365, and other systems.
  • Assist in setting up and maintaining workstations, build machines, and test hardware (including gaming consoles/dev kits).
  • Maintain accurate records of IT assets and licenses.
  • Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff or external vendors when required.
  • Support on-site and remote staff to ensure smooth collaboration.

Requirements

  • Professional experience in a Windows desktop support role is desired, especially with Windows 11.
  • Professional experience supporting Microsoft 365 (Office 365) applications and services is desired
  • Confident with PC/laptop hardware—installing, upgrading and maintaining devices; Dell experience is an advantage.
  • Solid grasp of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs).
  • A genuine interest in IT and a track record of learning quickly.
  • Strong, methodical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to follow instructions and established procedures with attention to detail.
  • Organised and able to prioritise tasks; works well independently and as part of a team.
