The Lead iOS Engineer shapes iOS mobile development within the Mobile Center of Excellence, leading technical delivery, coaching engineers, and promoting best practices. This role involves designing enterprise-grade iOS applications, championing continuous improvement, defining architecture standards, and collaborating with stakeholders to align mobile solutions with business objectives.
Must have:
  • Lead the design and development of enterprise-grade iOS applications using Swift and Objective-C.
  • Champion continuous improvement through code reviews, design discussions, and mentoring junior engineers.
  • Define and enforce mobile architecture standards and reusable component libraries across teams.
  • Contribute to CoE goals by identifying skill gaps and creating structured upskilling initiatives for mobile engineers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment of mobile solutions with business objectives.
  • Engage in cross-platform alignment efforts with Android and React Native leads.
  • Stay informed on Apple platform evolution, recommending strategic adoption of new tools and APIs.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
  • 6+ years of iOS development experience; expert-level proficiency with Swift.
  • Deep knowledge of mobile architecture patterns, UI/UX best practices, and testing strategies.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities; proven track record of team skill development.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools, Git workflows, and App Store submission lifecycle.
Good to have:
  • Experience working within or building a Mobile Center of Excellence is a strong plus.

Job Description

The Lead iOS Engineer plays a strategic role in shaping the iOS mobile development practice within the Mobile Center of Excellence. In addition to leading technical delivery, this role is instrumental in coaching engineers, promoting platform best practices, and establishing scalable mobile engineering standards.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities; proven track record of team skill development.
