As Lead Technical Writer at Playrix, you will be responsible for establishing and overseeing a comprehensive documentation process with active developer participation. Key duties include developing and implementing documentation creation and maintenance procedures, defining and tracking documentation quality metrics, integrating methodologies like Diátaxis for documentation structuring, and leveraging AI tools (ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Grammarly, Claude) to automate tasks and improve text quality. Regular documentation reviews to ensure completeness, accuracy, and clarity are also essential. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical writing expertise, experience in automating documentation processes, proficiency with documentation tools (Confluence, MadCap Flare, MkDocs, Docusaurus), and experience working with and understanding the needs of technical teams.

Team, about the role
We're looking for a Lead Technical Writer to ensure the quality and completeness of documentation. Your main task will be to build and control a process in which developers will actively participate in the creation and support of technical and user documentation.
Tasks
- Develop and implement a process for creating and maintaining technical documentation in which developers will be key participants
- Define and implement documentation quality metrics and monitor their implementation
- Integrate approaches and methodologies such as Diátaxis to structure documentation (tutorials, how-to guides, explanations, references)
- Integrate AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Grammarly, Claude) into the documentation process to automate routine tasks and improve the quality of texts
- Conduct regular reviews of documentation to ensure it is complete, up-to-date, and understandable
Requirements
- Proven expertise in technical writing and documentation
- Experience in building and automating documentation processes
- Proficiency in modern technical documentation tools (e.g. Confluence, MadCap Flare, MkDocs, Docusaurus)
- Experience working with technical teams, understanding their processes and needs
- Experience with AI tools for generating, editing, and structuring documentation
- B1 level of written English or higher
Preferred
- Understanding the principles of API and DevOps documentation
