Licensed Optician

Eyeglass World, part of National Vision, is a fashion-forward optical retailer with over 100 locations, offering trendy eyewear and same-day service. This part-time Licensed Optician role involves meeting sales objectives, ensuring customer satisfaction by following the "Code of Excellence," dispensing eyeglasses and contact lenses, providing training on contact lens care, maintaining patient records, managing inventory, and mentoring apprentice opticians. The position requires a state license and strong customer service and selling skills.

Must Have

• Meet National Vision’s sales and company objectives
• Follow the Eyeglass World “Code of Excellence” for customer satisfaction
• Assist with dispensing eyeglasses and contact lenses to customers
• Perform insertion and removal training of contact lenses
• Educate clients on proper eyeglass and contact lens care
• Maintain accurate and organized patient records
• Maintain awareness of same day service using production board
• Complete inventory count and replenish stock as necessary
• Mentor potential Apprentice Opticians as permitted by law
• Maintain license as required by state
• Must be available to work on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays

Job Description

What would you do? – The Specifics

• Meet National Vision’s sales and company objectives including average sale and feature percentages.
• Follow the Eyeglass World “Code of Excellence” to ensure customer satisfaction by creating a warm and welcoming environment for customers.
• Assist with dispensing eyeglasses and contact lenses to customers.
• Perform insertion and removal training of contact lenses to customers as permitted/required by state law.
• Educate clients on proper eyeglass and contact lens care.
• Maintain accurate and organized patient records.
• Maintain awareness of same day service using “Ready When Promised” production board.
• Complete inventory count and replenish stock as necessary.
• Mentor potential Apprentice Opticians as permitted by law.
