We’re FuturLab, the award-winning game studio behind PowerWash Simulator, the Velocity series, Peaky Blinders Mastermind, and many more awesome games.

We’re looking for a Licensing Manager to join the team.

This is an opportunity to step into a role that provides exceptional scope for an ambitious and talented business development professional looking to take the next big step.

As our Licensing Manager, you will be at the forefront of securing and managing high-profile IP partnerships, ensuring the seamless integration of licensed content into our games. We need someone who thrives in negotiations, builds strong relationships, and understands both the commercial and creative aspects of licensing.

Possibly as part of a larger team you've developed exceptional organisational and communication skills, enabling you to navigate complex licensing agreements while coordinating across multiple teams. You’re now ready to spread your wings and fly solo.

You're passionate about bringing iconic brands and franchises into gaming and equally invested in ensuring smooth execution and long-term partnerships.

You are a proactive problem solver, a clear communicator, and a detail-oriented leader that stakeholders rely on.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Own the end-to-end licensing process. Negotiate contractual and commercial terms to secure IP licenses, ensuring alignment with FuturLab’s creative and business goals.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships. Develop and nurture relationships with global IP holders, brands, talent, and external partners.
  • Manage partner communications. Act as the primary point of contact, providing clear updates, tracking approvals, and ensuring timely responses.
  • Ensure smooth integration of licensed content. Work closely with internal stakeholders to align on creative deliverables, from ideation to final approval.
  • Track and manage approvals. Oversee content submissions for partner review, track feedback, and coordinate revisions with development teams.
  • Oversee multiple projects simultaneously. Maintain accurate roadmaps, monitor project status, and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Coordinate internally across teams. Work closely with Production, Franchise Director, COO, and other key stakeholders to align licensing efforts with studio objectives.
  • Ensure clear documentation and reporting. Maintain detailed records of licensing agreements, content roadmaps, and project statuses for internal visibility.

About The Company

We’re FuturLab, the award-winning game studio behind PowerWash Simulator, the Velocity series, Peaky Blinders Mastermind, and many more awesome games.

Our zero-crunch policy and commitment to staff well-being is testament to our belief that happy, healthy teams make great games – backed up by our award-winning catalogue.

FuturLab was originally founded in 2003, but things really took off for us in 2007 when we decided to take a risk: we rocked up to Sony HQ and delivered the pitch that would put us on the map as game developers.

Back then, we didn’t have the commercial video game experience that we do now, but what we did have was unbridled enthusiasm, distinctive ideas, and fearless audacity. To this day, we carry these essential ingredients through to every project we work on.

Although our head office in Brighton remains open, FuturLab is a remote first studio, allowing us to work with talent across the UK and beyond to deliver the best games possible, whilst empowering our team to work comfortably and flexibly in their own spaces.

Our studio is a place where everyone belongs, a space for us to cultivate great ideas and flourish together, with our differences as our strength. As a Ukie #RaiseTheGame pledge partner, we are committed to championing diversity and inclusion across all areas as we continue to expand.
