Applied Materials is seeking a Maintenance Engineer (M/F) for its Semiconductor Industry division in Grenoble, France. The role involves ensuring the maintenance of equipment on client sites, performing diagnostics, developing action plans, and executing corrective maintenance in cleanrooms. The engineer will also be responsible for technical leadership of interventions, detailed reporting, technical analysis presentations to clients, and continuous improvement of maintenance procedures to enhance industrial performance. This position requires a strong technical aptitude and autonomy in maintenance operations.
Must have:
  • Ensure diagnosis, action plan development, and execution of corrective maintenance on Applied Materials equipment in cleanrooms.
  • Provide technical leadership for all interventions.
  • Utilize existing documentation (drawings, electrical diagrams) and appropriate measurement instruments.
  • Write detailed intervention reports.
  • Synthesize and present technical analyses to clients.
  • Propose innovations for improving maintenance procedures and methods to increase industrial performance.
  • Master maintenance costs.
  • Observe and respect quality standards of Applied Materials and its clients.
  • Master's degree or engineering school with at least 4 years of experience in a similar position, or Bac+2 / Bac+3 in industrial maintenance with a minimum of 10 years of experience in micro-electronics, electrotechnics, physics, chemistry, mechanical engineering.
  • Possess well-developed technical communication skills for interacting with international technical support.
  • Proficiency in English to understand technical procedures and interact (oral and written) with colleagues, clients, or suppliers abroad.
  • Willingness to travel abroad for training.

Position based in Bernin, Grenoble region (38).

To support our development, Applied Materials is recruiting its future Maintenance Engineer (M/F) on a permanent contract (CDI).

Within our Service department, you will be responsible for the maintenance of our equipment installed on our client's site to ensure the warranty and technical support of our machine fleet.

In this context, you will evolve within a team of maintenance engineers and technical experts to develop your skills and technical knowledge within a high-tech industrial environment.

Your main missions:

  • You ensure the diagnosis, the development of action plans and the execution of corrective maintenance on Applied Materials equipment in cleanrooms on our client's site.
  • You ensure the technical steering of all interventions undertaken.
  • You use existing documentation such as drawings and electrical diagrams as well as appropriate measuring instruments.
  • You write detailed intervention reports.
  • You are able to synthesize and present your technical analyses to clients.
  • You are a force for innovation for the improvement of maintenance procedures and methods with a view to increasing the industrial performance of the equipment.
  • You master maintenance costs.
  • You observe and respect the quality standards of Applied Materials as well as its clients.

Your profile:

  • You have a strong taste for technical matters and you like to work in the field.
  • You are autonomous in carrying out maintenance operations and developing diagnostics.
  • With a Master's degree or engineering school, you have at least 4 years of experience in a similar position, or Bac+2 / Bac+3 in industrial maintenance with a minimum of 10 years of experience in micro-electronics, electrotechnics, physics, chemistry, mechanical engineering.
  • You possess well-developed technical communication skills to interact with international technical support.
  • Your level of English allows you to understand technical procedures and interact (oral and written) with colleagues, clients or suppliers based abroad.
  • You are willing to travel abroad, particularly for training.
