As a Maintenance Technician II at Nordson Medical, you will be responsible for completing various maintenance tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor. These tasks include troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment. You will also perform preventative maintenance, implement and document changes, and make small design changes. This role requires working with blueprints and diagrams and involves performing standard computations. The position requires the ability to work in a general manufacturing environment and requires attention to detail. You will need to adhere to all Atrion policies. This role requires a high school diploma or GED and can include an apprenticeship program or technical/trade school graduate, or 2 years of relevant experience.

  • Competency in Microsoft applications
  • Math skills including fractions and percentages

Summary: 

Complete various maintenance tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.

    

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electric, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment. 
  • Perform other maintenance tasks such as pipefitting, sheet-metal, and carpentry as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Conduct Preventative Maintenance on equipment per established schedule.   
  • Implement and document changes. 
  • Make small design changes. 
  • Work with blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications to complete job
  • Performs standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical diagrams. 
  • Dismantle machines and perform repairs.
  • Perform various other maintenance tasks as requested by Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Adhere to all Atrion policies including safety, attendance, and personal hygiene requirements per the Atrion Employee Handbook. 

Qualifications:

  • Competency in Microsoft applications such as E-mail, Word & Excel.
  • Math skills including the ability to apply common concepts such as fractions and percentages.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and write legibly
  • Attention to detail is a must.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Education:

High School Diploma or GED.  Completion of an apprenticeship program or technical/trade school graduate or 2 years of related experience including troubleshooting and repairing electric, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Physical Demands:

Up to 1/3 of time is spent standing, walking, sitting, using hands to finger, handle or feel, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, to reach with hands or arms, or lifting.  1/3 to 2/3 of time is spent talking or hearing.   May lift up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment:

The work environment described here is representative of that an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work in a general manufacturing environment interacting with others in various areas throughout the facility. The noise level is typically moderate to loud.

100% Cotton Uniform Pants/Shirts

Nomex lab coat as needed for job specific tasks
