Pinterest is seeking a Manager II, Revenue Collections to oversee the global end-to-end Cash to Collections process. This role is responsible for ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and exceptional customer service, leading a global team including outsourced partners. The ideal candidate will drive operational excellence and strategic transformation across policy, process, tools, and analytics. Key responsibilities include overseeing global AR, Cash & Collections operations, designing and implementing payment adherence experiences, acting as a point of escalation for complex payment issues, partnering with sales leadership to improve the billing experience, identifying initiatives to improve DSO and cash collections, leading and developing a high-performing team, and collaborating with IT and Finance teams to streamline processes.
Must have:
  • Global people management experience
  • Extensive knowledge of financial systems (Oracle, SAP)
  • Extensive experience in AR, Cash, and Collections Operations
  • Ability to express complex ideas clearly
  • Exceptional leadership with operational rigor
  • Minimum 10 years experience in global collections/AR operations
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Good to have:
  • Experience in internet advertising
  • Experience with payment plan negotiation and bankruptcy
  • Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce)
  • Experience with reporting tools

As the Manager II, Revenue Collections, you are responsible for overseeing the global end-to-end Cash to Collections process, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and exceptional customer service. You will lead a global team, inclusive of our outsourced partner. This leader is accountable for day to day cash and collection operations, for our invoice customers. We are looking for an experienced AR / Collections leader who is excited about driving operational excellence and strategic transformation across our policy, process, tools and analytics.

What you’ll do:

  • Oversee global AR, Cash & Collections operations.
  • Design and implement payment adherence experiences that ensure timely payments are made.
  • Serve as the point of escalation for complex payment plans, bankruptcy and other payment adherence issues.
  • Closely partner with sales leadership in driving initiatives that improve our billing experience.
  • Identify and execute on various initiatives that improve DSO and cash collections.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team by setting clear performance expectations, conducting regular reviews, and fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
  • Develop and execute resourcing strategies (including in-house and outsourced talent) to meet evolving business demands, ensuring scalability and the right expertise for short- and long-term success.
  • Collaborate with IT and Finance teams to streamline processes, improve operational efficiency, and resolve issues.

What we’re looking for:

  • Our PinFlex future of work philosophy for this Accounting organization requires this role to visit a Pinterest office for collaboration up to 2 times per month.
  • A demonstrable background in global people management that is aligned with our mission and core values.
  • Extensive knowledge of financial systems (e.g. Oracle, SAP), CRM systems (i.e. Salesforce), reporting tools and other finance and operational systems.
  • Extensive experience in AR, Cash Operations, Collections Operations; inclusive of payment plan negotiation and bankruptcy. Preferably with experience in internet advertising.
  • Innovative and creative thinker with demonstrated ability to express complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.
  • Exceptional leader with a verifiable track record of operational rigor by evaluating complex issues from multiple perspectives and performing extensive quantitative analysis.
  • A minimum of ten years of experience driving large collections/AR operations at a global organization with 3yrs in leadership
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
