Job Description

As a Manufacturing Engineer at ALTEN Technology USA, you will be responsible for evaluating technical drawings, managing component inventory, driving improvements in yield, developing inventory management strategies, and conducting cost-benefit analysis. You will also lead manufacturing projects, support continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborate with a team of engineers to solve complex technical challenges. The role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, engineering drawings, and quality assurance standards. This position offers an opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects in industries such as aerospace and medical devices.
Must have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing.
  • Proficient in CAD/CAM software.

As the Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Evaluate technical drawings and specifications for manufacturability and ease of assembly

  • Monitor and manage component inventory throughout the build cycle to ensure adequate supply

  • Drive improvements in yield and reduce process-related non-conformances

  • Develop inventory management strategies to maintain optimal stock levels and reduce material waste

  • Conduct cost-benefit analysis of tools, materials, equipment, and suppliers to support process efficiency

  • Lead manufacturing projects with a focus on meeting tight deadlines and stakeholder communication

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and other tasks as needed to enhance production capabilities

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related Engineering field (Master’s preferred)

  • 5+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing, including exposure to precision components and systems

  • Proficient in CAD/CAM software and familiar with advanced manufacturing technologies

  • Solid understanding of machining processes such as milling, turning, and grinding

  • Knowledge of materials, coatings, non-destructive testing (NDT), and external manufacturing processes

  • Skilled in interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T, and industry specifications

  • Familiarity with aviation regulations, quality assurance standards, and safety protocols

Salary Range: $120,000 - $130,000

The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
