Job Description

The Manufacturing Supervisor will lead a part of the manufacturing operation in Contagem, Brazil, playing a crucial role in delivering the final product and integrating EHS, Materials, Quality, Planning, and Logistics sectors. This role involves coordinating production activities in Supply Chain Operations, ensuring processes align with strategic objectives, and meeting market and client demands. The supervisor will ensure safety, quality, cost, and adherence to established deadlines through integrated tactical and operational planning and execution.

  • Solid experience in operations (manufacturing, production, and maintenance) and in a leadership position, preferably in industry and manufacturing.
  • Knowledge in ERP systems.
  • Experience in evaluation and definition of production processes.
  • Knowledge of lean production methodologies.
  • Experience in quality control.

Who will you work with?

You will be responsible for leading a part of the manufacturing operation in Contagem, playing a crucial role as a provider of the final product and integrating the EHS, Materials, Quality, Planning, and Logistics sectors.

The Manufacturing Supervisor coordinates production activities in Supply Chain Operations, ensuring that processes are aligned with the company's strategic objectives and meet market and customer demands. This position requires an integrated approach between tactical, operational planning, and production execution, ensuring safety, quality, cost, and compliance with established deadlines.

What do we want to know about you?

  • Complete graduation.
  • Desirable Post-graduation in Business Management.
  • Solid experience in operations (manufacturing, production, and maintenance) and in a leadership position, preferably in industry and manufacturing.
  • Knowledge in ERP systems, evaluation and definition of production processes, lean production methodologies, and quality control.

What will your day-to-day be like?

1. Production Plan:

  • Implement detailed plans to meet the company's volume demands and the needs of internal and external customers.
  • Coordinate Manufacturing processes with the EHS, Quality, Engineering, Materials, Planning, and Logistics teams, ensuring production according to established metrics (safety, quality, cost, and deadline).

a) Tactical Plan (Monthly/Weekly):

  • Implement production plans for intermediate periods, translating strategic guidelines into practical actions.
  • Schedule resources (labor, equipment, materials) to optimize production and reduce costs, managing impact variables such as absenteeism and waste.
  • Implement initiatives to improve operational efficiency and meet production demand.

b) Operational Plan (Weekly/Daily):

  • Create daily production schedules per workstation, ensuring that products meet quality standards, deadlines, and costs.
  • Make operational adjustments as necessary to deal with demand variations or problems with suppliers/equipment.

2. Production Execution (Manufacturing):

  • Support daily production execution, resolving operational problems to avoid interruptions and ensure continuity.
  • Monitor production progress with KPIs, evaluating efficiency, quality, cost, and deadlines.
  • Identify risks and implement contingency plans.

3. Resource Management:

  • Ensure resource allocation according to tactical and operational plans.
  • Monitor equipment performance and coordinate preventive maintenance to ensure continuous and safe operation.

4. Leadership and Team Management:

  • Develop and guide the manufacturing team, promoting a collaborative and motivating environment.
  • Establish clear goals for the team, evaluating performance with constructive feedback and directing the individual development plan.

5. Continuous Improvement (with Quality and Lean):

  • Identify and implement improvements in production processes, applying lean production practices to optimize operations, increase safety, and reduce costs, while maintaining quality.

6. Communication and Coordination:

  • Promote communication between production, materials, logistics, engineering, and quality areas, ensuring alignment and effective problem solving.
  • Provide regular reports to the Director of Operations on manufacturing progress, challenges, and achievements.
