About the Role
We are seeking a highly creative and technically proficient Marketing Artist to join our Art team in Malta. You will play a key role in crafting compelling visuals that support our marketing, user acquisition (UA), and app store optimisation (ASO) strategies across a wide range of games on both internal and external projects.
This is a hands-on, cross-disciplinary role requiring close collaboration with cross-functional game teams including other artists, designers, producers, UA managers, community managers, and external stakeholders to produce a wide variety of high-quality marketing assets — from animated videos and app store banners to gameplay trailers and social media content.
You must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, eager to experiment with AI art tools, and capable of blending creative vision with performance data to create impactful campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, animate, and produce marketing assets including:
- Hi-res promotional banners, game icons, key art, in-game promotions
- Gameplay capture and video editing for trailers and UA ads
- Social media content, Discord assets, and other digital touchpoints
- Rapidly prototype creative ideas using AI and traditional tools for testing
- Collaborate with publishing, UA, ASO, and game teams to develop and iterate on creative concepts
- Build comprehensive marketing toolkits for internal and external use
- Interpret creative performance data (CPI, ROAS, retention) to inform design direction and improve asset efficacy
- Ensure technical compliance with platform-specific ad specifications and media requirements
- Contribute ideas at early visual concept stages and adapt work across multiple visual styles
Required Skills and Experience
Creative & Technical Expertise
- Excellent proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere)
- Strong skills in Unity composition and in-game asset integration
- Solid grasp of design principles including form, colour, composition, and typography
- Experience in video editing, animation, and visual storytelling for short-form ads
- Demonstrated ability to produce visually polished and high-converting creatives
- Strong portfolio showcasing a range of illustration, motion design, and promotional assets
Performance & Marketing Awareness
- Understanding of mobile game user acquisition metrics: CPI, CTR, ROAS, LTV, retention
- Familiarity with App Store Optimization and visual design trends in mobile advertising
- Knowledge of MMPs, SKAdNetwork, and tracking implications on creative performance
- Experience crafting assets for multiple aspect ratios (9:16, 1:1, 16:9) and file formats
- Comfortable iterating based on data, A/B test results, and evolving campaign needs
