About Ember

At Ember, we’re building the future of healthcare operations.

Behind every provider is a mountain of administrative complexity — from billing to revenue cycle management — and these inefficiencies directly impact care, cost, and outcomes. At Ember, we’re simplifying the back office of healthcare through intelligent automation, helping providers focus on what matters most: their patients.

We're reimagining how revenue flows through healthcare, and how teams can scale efficiently without sacrificing quality. Our platform integrates seamlessly into provider workflows, reducing the burden of manual tasks and unlocking real-time visibility into financial and operational performance.

As we grow, we’re looking for passionate, curious people to join us — and right now, that starts with you.

About the role

We are looking for an all-star Marketing Lead to help drive and own our all-up marketing strategy.

This is a remote position but an option for in-person in our SF office.

Ideal candidate is someone who has worked in SAAS AI startups, healthcare, or legacy-tech industry.

Our values

  • Ship > perfect. Launch, learn, iterate—daily.
  • 10× hustle. Early-stage means long days and high tempo; celebrate wins but never coast.
  • Brutal transparency. Facts beat feelings—inside the team and with customers.
  • Customers, customers, customers. If it doesn’t prevent denials or speed up cash, it’s noise.
  • Over-communication. Default to sharing; silence kills speed.

If these sound heavy, we’re probably not your people.

What will you be doing

  • Develop and execute the overall marketing strategy, focusing on customer acquisition, activation, and retention.
  • Be responsible for identifying target customers and determining the best message to reach those customers.
  • Design and execute profitable marketing campaigns that attract the right customers across online channels (SEO, social, podcast, affiliate, influencer, email, conferences).
  • Own social media growth by planning, creating, and publishing content (blog posts, case studies, and customer wins).
  • Identify the right healthcare finance conferences to sponsor, grow our brand (via booth, swag, and merch) and hitting the floor to generate leads.
  • Leverage analytics tools to track and report on key metrics. CAC, Conversion, lead-to-customer, engagement, retention, revenue, spend, NPS, and much more. Know how and when to optimize for each metric and how to create dashboards to reflect these.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, tools, and competitive benchmarks to ensure our strategy remains innovative and effective.

You’ll be great if you…

  • Bring 6+ years running full-funnel growth for a B2B SaaS startup (specifically in healthcare or legacy industry)
  • Pull your own data (SQL, Python) and spot the story behind the numbers
  • Proven experience in growth marketing, digital marketing, or performance marketing, bonus points for within the healthcare/RCM industry
  • Have generated >$1 M ARR via campaigns you conceived, built, and optimized
  • Write crisp copy, build a deck in a pinch, and work a booth at 8 a.m
  • Thrive in ambiguity, act before asked, and rarely need permission
  • Are an excellent communicator and approachable person

Experience in working at a startup or small company is a plus.
