Job Description

The Material Coordinator receives, stores, and issues equipment, materials, supplies, or tools, and compiles stock records. They fill orders, prepare inventory reports, and package and ship stock. This role involves utilizing automated management systems, interfacing with various personnel, and completing associated documentation. The role also requires processing tools and test equipment for calibration and adherence to specific program plans. Candidates need to have minimum a high school degree and graduation from a military logistics school or their equivalents and four (4) years of demonstrated competence through satisfactory progressive performance in logistics and supply.
Must have:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Receives, stores, and issues equipment, materials, supplies, or tools, and compiles stock records of items in stockroom, warehouse of storage yard

  • Fills orders or issues supplies from stock 

  • Prepares periodic, special or perpetual inventory of stock

  • Compiles reports on use of stock handling equipment, adjustments of inventory counts and stock records, spoilage of or damage to stock, location changes, and refusal of shipments 

  • Packages, ships or otherwise distributes stock to requesting activities, keeping records of material issued

  • May make adjustments or repairs to articles carried in stock

  • Utilizes the automated management system to assist with the supply support tasks of inventory levels, off-site repairs, procurement transactions, and calibration requirements tracked in the system

  • Interfaces as required with Maintenance Managers, Logistics Manager, site maintenance personnel, the Government representatives and other supply support personnel

  • Completes and processes receiving reports, and discrepancy reports

  • Completes shipping documentation such as bills of lading, manifests and air bills for specific carriers

  • Processes tools and test equipment for calibration

  • Responsible for those specific duties as specified in the Maintenance, Quality Control, Safety, and other Program Plans

  • Other duties as assigned 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum training includes a high school degree and graduation from a military logistics school or their equivalents

  • Have four (4) years of demonstrated competence through satisfactory progressive performance in logistics and supply

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Must have a thorough understanding of standards and specifications as used in the performance of maintenance actions.

SECURITY RESPONSIBILITIES  

Compliance with all company Information Systems security policies and procedures.  Personally responsible for proper classification and marking of all information and materials, in any form, produced by the incumbent. Shall be assigned specific responsibility for Information Security by immediate supervisor or department management. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. Incumbent shall execute company non-disclosure agreement prior to access to any controlled information.

  • Demonstrated competency and knowledge in the following areas:  Federal Supply System, Material, Maintenance and Maintenance Programs, inventory management,  (ASL); PC database systems and associated software capabilities; support equipment calibration requirements, shipping, handling, packaging, and storage requirements (including those for ESD).

Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.
