Job Description

Applications Management involves overseeing the lifecycle of software applications, including deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and optimization to ensure they meet business requirements and deliver value effectively.

You will be part of the Mendix team, which is part of the wider low-code community within Endava.

The activities you will be performing are as follows:

New Feature Development and Implementation

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and understand business needs for new features.
  • Design and develop scalable, user-friendly applications and modules within the Mendix platform.
  • Build and implement new features, integrations, and system enhancements.
  • Conduct thorough testing to ensure new implementations function seamlessly within existing infrastructure.
  • Provide input on system architecture and development best practices to ensure maintainability and scalability.

Support and Maintenance

  • Monitor and maintain existing Mendix applications, ensuring optimal functionality and uptime.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues in a timely manner, working with cross-functional teams as needed.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve system reliability and efficiency.
  • Perform routine updates and upgrades to keep applications compliant with latest Mendix platform versions.
  • Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and best practices for future reference.

Qualifications

Experience: 2+ years of experience as a Mendix Developer.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Mendix Studio Pro.
  • Intermediate knowledge of CSS, and SQL.
  • Familiarity with REST/SOAP APIs for system integration.
  • Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.) is a plus.
  • Good to have knowledge of Java, JavaScript.

Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to troubleshooting.

Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Mendix certification is a plus.
  • Experience in Agile development methodologies.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD processes in a Mendix environment.
