Job Description

The Payroll Ops Manager will be responsible for managing the full spectrum of monthly payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. This includes handling new hires, terminations, and other payroll instructions. The role involves implementing and reviewing payroll processes, maintaining proper documentation, and ensuring timely payments for CPF, Levy, and other submissions. The manager will also process resigned employee payroll, provide regular reporting, and handle government claims. Additionally, the role requires assisting with daily HR operations, supporting employee queries, and participating in special projects. The ideal candidate will also assist with daily HR Operations matters - preparation and filing of employee documents, support on application, renewal & cancellation of employment passes, onboarding presentations & offboarding processes, and Supporting employee queries on daily basis.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree with HR operation experience
  • Experience in Payroll processing for at least 3 years
  • Extensive knowledge of payroll function
  • Deep understanding of Singapore Employment Act
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple work streams
  • Strong aptitude for problem solving
  • Ability to work independently
Good to have:
  • Fluency in English is a must, Chinese/Mandarin is a plus
  • Experience with human resources information system (HRIS)

About the Opportunity

In this role you will execute all frontline processes and policies pertaining to the Global HR Operations. You’ll be heavily involved in daily HR operations, such as the preparation of documents and benefits administration. You’ll be asked to proactively identify opportunities to enhance the service provided by HR and ultimately implement meaningful changes. Additionally, you will have an opportunity to shape the firm’s people-related practices/initiatives by applying external and internal contextual knowledge, including the Terms & Conditions of employment in worldwide locations.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Be accountable and manages full spectrum of monthly payroll processing - ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations and other payroll instructions
  • Implements, maintains and reviews payroll processes to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, and other payroll related items
  • Maintain proper payroll documentation
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing payments such as CPF, Levy and Funds submission, IR8A.
  • Processing resigned employee's payroll including IR21 submission
  • Provide regular and ad-hoc reporting services in an accurate, meaningful, and timely manner
  • Processing of Government bodies claims such as maternity claims, childcare leave claims, NSmen claims and other applicable statutory claims
  • Assist with daily HR Operations matters - preparation and filing of employee documents, support on application, renewal & cancellation of employment passes, onboarding presentations & offboarding processes
  • Supporting employee queries on daily basis
  • Responsible for government related surveys such as Labour Market Survey, Occupational Employment Dataset etc.
  • Participate in special projects on a local and global basis as required

What We Look For In You

  • Bachelor's Degree with solid HR Operation experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in Payroll processing for at least 3 years
  • Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, reporting and taxes.
  • Deep understanding of Singapore Employment Act & local compliance practices
  • Strong customer orientation in the delivery of internal services
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple work streams rapidly and effectively
  • Strong aptitude for problem solving and the drive to think creatively
  • Ability to work independently, under pressure with frequent deadlines
  • Ability to handle confidential information, professionally and appropriately
    Nice to Have:
    • Fluency in English is a must. Ability to communicate in Chinese/Mandarin will be an added advantage.
    • Experience with human resources information system (HRIS)
