Job Summary

Job Description

Lead engineering teams in prioritizing client work, projects, and service tasks. Collaborate with management and other engineers to define internal project processes. Guide the design, development, and review of complex security SIEM content, identifying areas for improvement in existing processes and documentation. Develop team strategies and responsibilities for success and growth, including internal training methods. Act as an escalation point and mentor for other engineers. Assist with client transitions and onboarding, serving as the primary contact for Managed Security Service clients. This involves documenting account governance and reporting potential client Service Level Agreement (SLA) issues. Explain and demonstrate Enterprise Security products to technical and non-technical personnel, providing remote consulting services for product and technology implementation. Implement and configure enterprise security software in large enterprise and government environments.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • 9+ years in Information Security
  • Advanced Splunk Enterprise knowledge
  • Advanced SIEM knowledge
  • Understanding of network architecture
  • Excellent time management
  • Excellent reporting skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Superior IT problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of Linux/Windows OS
  • Experience with SIEM products (Splunk, QRadar, etc.)
  • Experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, DLP
Good to have:
  • GIAC, CISSP, CCSE, CISA, HBSS, NSA, CEH, Cisco Security, Security +, or other certifications
  • CCNA, CCDA, CCSA, CCIE, CISSP, CEH, or MCSE
  • Experience with network security analysis
  • Knowledge of DBMS, Exchange, DNS, SMTP, IIS, Apache, SharePoint, Active Directory, LDAP, SQL
  • Familiarity with DevOps
  • Prior consulting experience
  • Ready to work in US hours

Job Details

How you'll make an impact

  • Lead engineering team by prioritizing clients work requests, projects and service tasks.
  • Work closely with Management, Service Delivery and other Principal Engineers in defining processes and procedures for internal projects.
  • Guide the design, development and review of complex security SIEM content.
  • Analyzes and identifies areas of improvement with existing processes, procedures and documentation.
  • Develop individual team, defining strategies and responsibilities to be successful and grow.
  • Develops internal training methods to support Managed Services and their clients.
  • Act as the point of escalation for other Engineers (Associate Engineer, Security Engineer, & Senior Engineer) and provide guidance and mentoring.
  • Assist with client transition and onboarding serve as primary point of contact for Managed Security Service clients.
  • This will require documentation of Account Governance processes and responsibility for report generation and notification to senior leadership about potential client Service Level Agreement (SLA) issues.
  • Explain and demonstrate how to use various Enterprise Security products to both technical and relatively non-technical personnel.
  • Provide remote consulting services via interactive client sessions to assist with implementation of multiple product vendors and technologies.
  • Implement and configure enterprise security software and appliance-based products in large enterprise and Government environments.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards


What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's Degree College degree or equivalent required
  • 9 plus years Professional experience in the Information Security field and within discipline required
  • 9 plus years Advanced information security knowledge in one or more areas to include: Splunk Enterprise end-point security products (i.e. McAfee e-Policy Orchestrator, Virus Scan, Anti-Spyware, Host Data Loss Protection, Endpoint Encryption, etc.) Security Information and Event Manager (SIEM),
  • Certification: GIAC, CISSP, CCSE, CISA, HBSS, NSA, CEH, Cisco Security, Security +, or other security certifications Upon Hire preferred
  • CCNA, CCDA, CCSA, CCIE, CISSP, CEH, or MCSE Upon Hire preferred
  • Understanding of network architecture and implementation is a must; ideal candidate will have worked with network security analysis.
  • Excellent time management, reporting, and communication skills.
  • Superior IT problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of Linux and Windows Operating Systems
  • An understanding of a wide array of server grade applications such as: DBMS, Exchange, DNS, SMTP, IIS, Apache, SharePoint, Active Directory, Identity Management, Patch Management, LDAP, SQL, and others
  • Experience with various SIEM security products such as: Splunk , , QRadar, Nitro, Splunk, LogRhythm and infrastructure components such as proxies, firewalls, IDS/IPS, DLP etc.
  • Familiarity with DevOps
  • Prior consulting experience
  • Ready to work in US hours
