As a Principal Financial Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. You will collaborate with various business units to optimize financial decisions through headcount planning, forecasting, analytics, and reporting. Your insights will drive strategic business decisions, enhance profitability, and improve productivity across the organization.
Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead the development and compilation of long-range plans, annual budgets, and quarterly forecasts. Ensure alignment with Barracuda’s strategic objectives and perform variance analysis to track performance against financial plans.
Reporting & Insights: Develop and maintain data models, reports, dashboards, and performance metrics that support key decisions. Prepare executive review materials to communicate financial plans and inform strategic initiatives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with key stakeholders, including Accounting and various business units, to produce monthly forecasts and provide analytical support. Engage with functional leaders to analyze actual and planned financial performance, identifying opportunities and risks.
What You Bring to the Role:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
Experience: 8-10 years of relevant experience in financial planning and analysis, with a strong background in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, preferably in a technology or software environment.
Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with financial modeling. Familiarity with business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI) and EPM systems (e.g., Adaptive Planning) is highly desirable.
