Job Details

Please note that this is a hybrid position with a mixture of in-office and home-based working. We will accept candidates in Cardiff, Brighton and remote but for those candidates not based in Cardiff we would expect regular (every two weeks) trips to the Cardiff office.

Part of the Rocket Science Group, Atomic Theory comprises a multinational team of seasoned AAA veterans with roots extending from Blizzard, PUBG, Epic, and Unity as well as superstars from other industries bringing their expertise of project management, software development and more! We have a track record of delivering player-centric, AAA-quality experiences, and we're unwavering in our commitment to performance, accessibility, and the meticulous attention to the engineering tools and frameworks that underpin exceptional gameplay.

But Atomic Theory is also more than just a studio; for us, it's a sanctuary, a place where our diverse experiences can intersect and combine to carry our solutions to the next level. We're dedicated to aiding studios and publishers in navigating the toughest challenges across today's game development landscape. With offices in Albany, NY and Cardiff, UK, we thrive at the opportunity to Get Sh!t Done on a global scale.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are looking for a Producer to join our team in Cardiff initially on a three month fixed contract to cover illness in the team but with our continual growth, there should be an opportunity to convert this role to full time in the future. The right person will be open and flexible, able to work on any large project or multiple small projects with a variety of clients, in technical environments with a track record of agile software development workflows, production processes, and testing.

The ideal candidate will work closely with our developers and our client partners to support and augment feature development. As the main point of contact between the studio and our clients, the Producer will be responsible for maintaining a productive and positive relationship, which includes ensuring timely and efficient communication, successfully delivering milestones, and keeping our promises to build trust.

TO ACHIEVE THIS, YOU WILL BRING:

  • 2+ yrs professional production or project management experience

  • Experience coordinating or managing multiple teams of multi-discipline developers

  • A hardy familiarity and successful involvement with technical environments, agile development workflows, production processes, testing, and software development

  • Proficiency of any current planning tools (e.g. Jira, ClickUp, GitHub) and able to adapt to any other software made available by the studio or partners

  • An ability to create, track, and maintain schedules across multiple projects and teams

  • Exceptional attention to detail, organisational, oral/written communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

  • An internal drive to keep team members working efficiently and effectively toward project goals, keeping focus on the valuable product increments and scope

  • A passion for continuous improvement and setting out new challenges for your studio

What We Can Offer:

  • Hybrid Working Arrangement: Our office in Cardiff is located right in City Centre, just a couple minutes away from the Cardiff Central Train Station! As a member of our team, you’ll have the flexibility to work at home and collaborate with your fellow engineers in person.

  • Work-Life Balance: We really believe that home life comes first and we promote a flexible working environment. And as an added bonus: We don’t crunch!

  • Office Perks: In addition to everything above, we also provide:

    • Weekly Team Lunches

    • Snacks, Including the Good (Yorkshire) Tea

    • Fully Equipped Team Lounge, Including our Favourite Consoles and Games

    • And, most importantly, a supportive and creative working environment made up of talented and friendly people, as well as the opportunity to work on some pretty cool games and projects – if we do say so ourselves!

A Friendly Note from the Recruitment Team:

Let us do the work for you: Even if your profile isn't an exact match for all of the qualifications listed above, we still want you to apply. Our team members come from a variety of different industries, not all of which are immediately relevant to game or software development, and we welcome all candidates of similarly varied backgrounds, communities, and identities.
