Job Description

OpenAI's ChatGPT team aims to make general-purpose AI benefit humanity by deploying intuitive and accessible technology. This Product Designer role involves collaborating with cross-functional partners to design and ship end-to-end product experiences for OpenAI's consumer, business, and tools products, shaping the future direction and design paradigms while prioritizing safety and responsible use. As an early team member, you'll have a huge part in shaping our product direction and design culture.

  • Have 4+ years of experience shipping larger scale software products
  • Have a portfolio showcasing strong UX, UI, and interaction design skills, with a high bar for quality and craft
  • Love thinking through complex interaction design problems
  • Possess impactful communication and storytelling skills
  • Enjoy tackling ambiguous problems and shaping them into a clear vision

About the Role

In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with a small team of product designers and cross-functional partners to craft product experiences of today and tomorrow. You’ll work on the end-to-end design of new features and improvements across a range of consumer, business, and tools products. You’ll help chart our course into the future as we evolve our technology, product, and design paradigms.

This role is based in our San Francisco HQ. We offer relocation assistance to new employees.
