What You'll Do

LILT is the Agentic, AI-powered enterprise translation and localization company revolutionizing how the world communicates. Our human-in-the-loop translation platform combines state-of-the-art large language models with professional linguists to deliver fast, accurate, and scalable translation for enterprises and government agencies. Our customers include Fortune 500 companies and federal agencies that rely on LILT to support global customer experiences and multilingual operations.

We’re hiring a Director of Product Marketing to lead the strategic development and execution of our positioning, messaging, enablement, and go-to-market programs. Reporting to the CMO, this is a high-impact leadership role responsible for owning the entire product marketing lifecycle — from launch planning and persona development to sales enablement and thought leadership.

You’ll be expected to craft compelling narratives that resonate with commercial and federal buyers, build and execute a scalable product marketing roadmap, and lead the charge on cross-functional alignment with Sales, Product, and Growth. You’ll also ensure our revenue teams are fully equipped with the tools, content, training, and confidence they need to differentiate LILT and close business.

This role is ideal for a strategic, analytical, and execution-focused leader ready to elevate product marketing into the company's core growth engine.

Skills and Experience:

  • 8+ years of B2B product marketing experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role at a SaaS, AI/ML, or enterprise tech company––AI startup experience a plus.

  • Strategic thinker with a proven ability to translate high-level business objectives into actionable go-to-market and product marketing strategies across commercial and federal segments.

  • Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and initiative—able to work independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with minimal oversight.

  • Entrepreneurial and adaptable, bringing a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset to evolving priorities and complex challenges.

  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, capable of managing multiple workstreams, cross-functional stakeholders, and high-impact deliverables without sacrificing quality or speed.

  • Analytical thinker with a data-driven approach — constantly asking "why" and solving problems with rigor and creativity.

  • Collaborative team player who builds strong cross-functional relationships and thrives in high-growth, high-performance cultures.

  • Demonstrated success leading sales enablement programs — including training, onboarding, asset creation, and feedback-driven refinement.

  • Hands-on experience supporting federal go-to-market strategies, including messaging for public sector buyers, procurement cycles, and compliance positioning (e.g., FedRAMP).

  • Skilled in analytics and optimization — tracking campaign performance, SEO rankings, product usage, and sales feedback to refine GTM strategy, enhance ROI reporting, and support continuous improvement.

  • Adept at thought leadership and industry engagement — representing the brand in online communities, industry events, and digital channels to drive awareness, engagement, and social selling opportunities.

  • Strong content development skills — including authoring solution briefs, product videos, case studies, whitepapers, web copy, and competitive assets.

  • Experienced in event marketing support, including messaging, content, collateral creation, and sales readiness for conferences, field events, and executive briefings.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communicator — capable of simplifying technical concepts and telling compelling product stories that resonate with both business and technical audiences.

Our Story

Our founders, Spence and John met at Google working on Google Translate.  As researchers at Stanford and Berkeley, they both worked on language technology to make information accessible to everyone. They were amazed to learn that Google Translate wasn’t used for enterprise products and services inside the company and left to start a new company to address this need – LILT.

At its core, LILT has always been a machine learning company since its incorporation on March 6, 2015. At the time, machine translation didn’t meet the quality standard for enterprise translations, so LILT assembled a cutting-edge research team tasked with closing that gap. While meeting customer demand for translation services, LILT has prioritized investments in Large Language Models, believing that this foundation was imperative to the future of enterprise translation.

Benefits:

  • Compensation: At market salary, meaningful equity, 401(k) matching, and flexible time off plus company holidays

  • Medical Benefits: Employees receive coverage of medical, dental, and vision insurance, and more. In addition, LILT pays for basic life insurance, short-term disability, and long-term disability

  • Paid parental leave is provided after 6 months.

  • Monthly lifestyle benefit stipend via the Fringe platform to allow employees to customize benefits to their lifestyle
