Project coordinator

Job Description

We are looking for a Project Coordinator to support our video game development team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth operations, coordinating schedules, and monitoring various teams and partners. Your organizational skills and mastery of tools like JIRA will be essential to ensure the efficiency of our projects.

Operational coordination

• Work closely with the producer to ensure execution of project plans.
• Ensure the smooth running of sprints by managing task distribution, estimates, documentation and dependencies.
• Demonstrate leadership by influencing teams and partners to meet project timelines and objectives.
• Ensure alignment between the schedules of sprint and overall project planning.
• Prepare progress reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) for production reviews and assessments.
• Unlock teams by creating the necessary tickets (purchases, IT requests, etc.).
• Update and follow the Master Capacity Plan based on recent decisions.
• Any other related tasks.

Requirements

• Working conditions: This role is based in our Quebec City office, on-site presence is required.
• Proven experience in a coordination or project management role, in the video game industry or a similar industry.
• Fluency in spoken and written English and French, essential for collaboration with external partners.
• Advanced mastery of JIRA project management tools and a good understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Excellent organizational, synthesis and communication skills.
• Autonomy, rigor and spirit of initiative.
• Be comfortable in a dynamic environment with multiple internal and external contacts.
• Passion for video games and in-depth knowledge of current market trends.
• Be comfortable with artificial intelligence tools and automation methods, and demonstrate a strong interest in getting the most value from them.

BONUS

• Experience with international suppliers.
• Knowledge of reporting tools (Google Sheets, etc.).
• Technical or artistic understanding of different production disciplines (3D, audio, animation, etc.).
