Publishing Manager for Third Party Games

MISSION

The purpose of this role is to lead the relationship and represent YGG Play's interests with third party studios. The Publishing Manager will provide critical feedback on product and monetization strategies to ensure commercial success, and will be ultimately responsible for the smooth launch, operation, and P&L management of third-party games on behalf of YGG Play.

OUTCOMES

• Within the first 3 months: Successfully lead a third-party game from the development phase through to its launch, demonstrating full ownership and a deep understanding of the publishing process.
• Within the first 4 months: Manage at least one post-launch game, actively working to increase and/or maintain its monetization and overall performance.
• Within the first 6 months: Standardize and formalize the company's approach to third-party games publishing, creating repeatable and scalable processes for future launches.

COMPETENCIES

Experience & Knowledge:

• 7+ years of relevant experience in the gaming industry is required, with previous experience in games publishing being a significant advantage.
• Has a deep understanding of game publishing, monetization strategies, and the competitive landscape.
• Experience with Web3 or crypto is a strong plus.

Execution & Management:

• Extremely organized and detail-oriented.
• Comfortable with and willing to take full ownership of project timelines and outcomes.
• Highly skilled in managing both internal and external stakeholders to ensure games are launched on time and meet objectives.
• Systematic and highly organized, able to manage their own time and set up effective processes for others on the project.

Collaboration & Communication:

• Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Publishing Operations, Marketing, Data, and third-party studio counterparts.
• Able to work effectively with both synchronous and asynchronous communication.
• Clear and creative thinker with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Problem Solving & Ownership:

• Leads like a founder: identifies and solves complex problems.
• Comfortable navigating the ambiguity and chaos of an early-stage company.
• Able to communicate new ideas and experiment without being paralyzed by the fear of failure.

ABOUT THIS POSITION

• This is a fully remote position open to candidates worldwide.
• Must be willing to travel multiple times per year for team meetings and events.
