Job Summary
Join our small, passionate team as a QA Engineer and help level up Bloxburg’s player experience! We are seeking an experienced QA Engineer to join us on-site in Gothenburg and help ensure the quality and stability of Welcome to Bloxburg. You will work closely with the development team to verify new and existing features, identify and document issues, maintain a clear backlog, and assist community and production teams with player-reported issues and support.
Must Have
- 2+ years of experience as a QA Engineer or related role in the games industry
- Interest in an on-site role within an in-house game development team
- Experience using bug-tracking or project management tools (e.g., ClickUp)
- Proficiency using screen capture tools to help identify and document bugs
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work well in a team
- Fluency in English, both written and verbally
- Passion for video games and a deep understanding of gaming culture, genres, and trends
- Ability to test and verify gameplay and features across multiple platforms (PC, Mobile, PlayStation, Xbox)
- Ability to create clear, well-documented bug reports and regular stability updates
- Ability to assist with reading, gathering and verifying player reported issues
Good to Have
- Experience on the Roblox platform
- Familiarity with Welcome to Bloxburg
- Experience using QA Automation tools
- Experience working with free-to-play, live service, social based, multiplayer, or life simulation games
- Experience in Customer Support, communicating directly with users

Our studio, Coffee Stain Gothenburg, is located in the heart of the beautiful city of Gothenburg, Sweden. We’re a small but passionate team of 17 developers making a big impact on millions of players around the world through Welcome to Bloxburg, one of the top experiences on Roblox.

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced QA Engineer to join us on-site in Gothenburg and help ensure the quality and stability of Welcome to Bloxburg, an award-winning, top-performing experience on the Roblox platform. In Bloxburg, millions of players design their dream homes, take on various jobs, hang out with friends, and explore a vibrant town filled with creativity and life.
As a QA Engineer, you will work closely with the development team to verify that new and existing features perform as intended. You’ll identify, work to reproduce, and document issues, maintain a clear and organized backlog, and help keep the player experience stable and enjoyable. You’ll also assist our community and production teams to investigate player-reported issues, ensure clear communication back to the community, and follow up with players to gain additional details or provide support.
The position is a permanent, full-time, 40 hours per week job on-site.
Responsibilities:
- Test and verify gameplay and features across multiple platforms (PC, Mobile, PlayStation, Xbox)
- Test and provide detailed feedback on new and existing features, covering functionality, stability, balancing, optimization, and overall player experience
- Communicate daily with teammates about key issues, progress, and priorities
- Create clear, well-documented bug reports and regular stability updates
- Routinely verify and update existing issues to keep an up-to-date backlog
- Assist with reading, gathering and verifying player reported issues and confirming them into properly documented bug reports
- Assist our players with support related tasks and FAQ
- Support our community and production teams with clear communication to players regarding issue status and updates
- Assist in maintaining and organizing the bug database
You Have:
- 2+ years of experience as a QA Engineer or related role in the games industry
- Interest in an on-site role within an in-house game development team
- A long-term interest in pursuing QA as a career path
- Experience using bug-tracking or project management tools (we use ClickUp)
- Proficiency using screen capture tools to help identify and document bugs
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work well in a team
- Fluency in English, both written and verbally
- Passion for video games and a deep understanding of gaming culture, genres, and trends, with a genuine love for creating player-focused experiences
We consider it a plus if you have
- Experience on the Roblox platform
- Familiarity with Welcome to Bloxburg
- Experience using QA Automation tools
- Experience working with games that includes any of the following: Free-to-play, live service, social based, multiplayer, life simulation
- Experience in Costumer Support, communicating directly with users in a friendly but professional manner, when additional information on an issue they reported is necessary
