The Senior Automation Tester will design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright with C#. They will collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA team members to ensure test coverage. The role involves creating and managing robust test frameworks, performing code reviews, integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines, investigating test failures, and contributing to test strategy improvements. The candidate will ensure the quality and stability of releases by running regression, smoke, and end-to-end tests. This role requires a self-starter with excellent communication skills, and an ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Must have:
  • 5+ years of test automation experience with Playwright and C#
  • Strong programming skills in C# and .NET environments.
  • Experience in API testing using manual and/or automation tools.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins).
Good to have:
  • Experience with other automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, SpecFlow).
  • Exposure to cloud-based testing environments.
  • Knowledge of performance or security testing tools.

Job Summary:

Looking for a highly skilled Senior Automation Tester with strong expertise in Playwright using C# to join our QA team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for quality, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to take ownership of test automation across web applications. You’ll play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust automated test suites and driving best practices in automation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright with C#.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and QA team members to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.
  • Create and manage robust test frameworks, reusable components, and test data strategies.
  • Develop test data, procedures, and quality assurance criterion for ensuring the software products meet organization standards and end-user requirements.  
  • Perform code reviews and mentor junior QA automation engineers.
  • Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous feedback.
  • Investigate test failures, report defects, and contribute to root cause analysis.
  • Ensure quality and stability of releases by running regression, smoke, and end-to-end tests.
  • Contribute to test strategy, tool selection, and process improvements.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in test automation, with at least 2 years using Playwright with C#.
  • Strong programming skills in C# and experience with .NET environments.
  • Proficient in writing, debugging, and maintaining automated tests.
  • Experience in API testing using manual and/or automation tools.
  • Experience in QA processes, methodologies, tools, and industry best practices 
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), and Scrum/Agile development.  
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Must be a self-starter and able to perform with minimal supervision while working in a diverse team

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with other automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, SpecFlow).
  • Exposure to cloud-based testing environments.
  • Knowledge of performance or security testing tools is a plus.
  • ISTQB or similar certification.

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s/master’s degree in software engineering, Computer Science, or a related area
