Job Description

As a QA Intern at Mayhem Studios, you will write, maintain, and execute test cases for mobile (Android) games across various devices. Responsibilities include conducting functional and non-functional testing, collaborating with the scrum team to ensure high-quality game submissions, communicating with developers on defect triage, understanding game mechanics and corner cases, and preparing test documentation. You will work on their flagship title, Underworld Gang Wars, a game with over 8 million pre-registrations. The ideal candidate has 0-1 year of experience in gaming/software testing and a passion for AAA games. Knowledge of tools like Charles Proxy, ADB, Jira, and Test Rail is beneficial.

Key Responsibilities

Write, maintain, and execute test cases for studio games on mobile (Android) covering a wide range of devices.
Conduct functional and non-functional testing of mobile applications, including network data and logs.
Work closely with the scrum team, producers, and QA lead/manager to ensure that game submissions meet high-quality standards.
Actively communicate with developers and business stakeholders to conduct defect triage and reduce defect age.
Have a detailed understanding of studio games, including various corner cases.
Prepare test documentation to improve the quality of the application.

What We’re Looking For

0-1 year of experience in gaming/software testing (internship or relevant coursework)
Passionate about gaming and must enjoy playing AAA games.
Familiarity with gaming domains such as Battle Royale, Racing, and Shooter games (preferred).
Understanding of Mobile Platforms & Standards from a QA perspective.
Experience in test design and execution techniques.
Knowledge about tools such as Charles Proxy, DDMS, ADB, Firebug, Fiddler, Jira, Test Rail, or similar.
Ability to write QA documentation, including test cases, training materials, and test plans.
Good exploratory testing skills and the ability to apply the right level of testing approach.
Basic knowledge of SQL and database concepts.
