Job Description
As a QA Tester at DECK 13 Interactive, you will be an integral part of the development team, ensuring the quality of features in the games. You will be responsible for testing, investigating, and reporting bugs across different platforms, helping design test plans, and communicating with the development team. The role requires a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues, maintaining a player-focused perspective, and contributing to the overall quality of the games. QA testers operate with a great sense of independence and responsibility and are in the forefront of testing, investigating and reporting bugs while maintaining communication with the team and helping shape the games we create with the player’s perspective in mind.
Must have:
- 2 years of QA experience or previously shipped titles.
- Good working knowledge of test management software and/or QA methodologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Excellent organizational, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Team player, solution-oriented attitude.
- Knowledge of game trends and insight into different game genres.
Good to have:
- Knowledge of programming languages and/or game engines.
- Strong communication skills with business partners and outsourcers.
- Insight into current industry relevant topics.
- Proximity to the office is a plus.

We’re looking for a hard-working and passionate QA Tester (f/m/x) to join our team immediately and help us test and ensure the quality of the latest versions of our games.
A successful QA tester is a team player with a passion for playing games, a working knowledge of games development, testing tools, methodologies and an advocate for the player’s perspective.
Your Quest:
As our QA Tester, you’ll be an integral part of our development team ensuring the quality of a feature set in the games we make. Our QA testers operate with a great sense of independence and responsibility and are in the forefront of testing, investigating and reporting bugs while maintaining communication with the team and helping shape the games we create with the player’s perspective in mind. Your main responsibilities will include:
[Bug Reporting]:
- Testing, investigating and reporting bugs for a number of different platforms
- Helping design test plans and follow test cases and procedures
[Communication and Collaboration]:
- Communicating with the development team to understand features, in order to provide relevant information on bugs and errors
- Analyzing test results and informing stakeholders
[Support and Ownership]:
- Owning the quality of a feature set of our games
- Owning the platform testing requirements for Consoles (Playstation and its associated hardware, platform SDK’s and debug tools or Xbox and its associated hardware, platform XDK’s and debug tools)
- Supporting other departments or external teams
- Representing the player perspective inside workgroups
- Operating independently and responsibly to complete assigned tasks and organize their own work
Your Toolkit:
- Experience: at least 2 years of past experience with QA or previously shipped titles.
- QA Mastery: A good working knowledge of test management software and/or QA methodologies.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Teamwork: Excellent organizational, teamwork, and communication skills; ability to collaborate with a varied team.
- Mindset: A team player, solution-oriented attitude
- Gaming Experience: Knowledge of game trends as well as good insight into a range of different game genres
