Reporting directly to the Manager, Support Operations, the Facilities Coordinator will be part of the Global Support Operations Team. This position will be responsible for coordinating internal customer support, vendor oversight\management, purchasing of materials, and equipment & supplies. The role will be responsible for the execution of day-to-day operational tasks & activities to support QNX as well planning and execution of projects.
Must have:
  • Perform all Facilities related Service Requests (ie EHS, MAC, etc) for the BlackBerry QNX Ottawa campus.
  • Source, manage, and coordinate vendors for the Ottawa campus as well as other regional locations for all Facilities related requirements.
  • Support EHS Requests for the Health & Safety, Emergency Safety Officer, and First Aid Teams.
  • Support the creating and executing Facilities related OPEX activities.
  • Consulting with internal and external stakeholders to determine the best course of action to meet timelines for all Facilities related projects such as Engineering Labs and Build Outs to minimize downtime.
  • Part of On Call Rotation for BlackBerry QNX Facilities after hours support.
  • Other duties as they arise.
Good to have:
  • Basic understanding of the facilities/property management industry and knowledge of facility operations and maintenance would be an asset.

Position Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform all Facilities related Service Requests (ie EHS, MAC, etc) for the BlackBerry QNX Ottawa campus.
  • Source, manage, and coordinate vendors for the Ottawa campus as well as other regional locations for all Facilities related requirements.
  • Support EHS Requests for the Health & Safety, Emergency Safety Officer, and First Aid Teams.
  • Support the creating and executing Facilities related OPEX activities.
  • Consulting with internal and external stakeholders to determine the best course of action to meet timelines for all Facilities related projects such as Engineering Labs and Build Outs to minimize downtime.

You will have

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience of related experience in Facilities Coordination
  • Experience with vendor coordination such as onboarding, onsite management, and vendor bills.
  • Experience performing Facilities related service requests (Town Hall setups, Sit Stand desks, etc) and after-hours support.
  • Experience with recycling programs, and environmental improvements contributing towards our environmental efforts.
  • Proficient with Microsoft tools (Teams, Excel, Word, Outlook, etc).
  • Experience with EHS.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage an extensive and large workload in the movement of complex products\shipments via all modes of transportation.
  • Proven ability to prioritize a wide variety of functions and responsibilities.
  • Well organized and able to make judgments under pressure.
  • Creative and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong aptitude in managing emergency situations in a business efficient collaborative manner.
  • Strong aptitude in time management.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Basic understanding of the facilities/property management industry and knowledge of facility operations and maintenance would be an asset.
