Job Description

The Quality Engineering Inspector monitors and ensures conformance with production processes and inspects incoming products to meet quality standards. This critical role contributes to the manufacture of reliable, world-changing Unmanned Aerial Vehicles. Responsibilities include ensuring accurate assembly documentation, observing operations, conducting dimensional inspections, and examining materials. The inspector also produces First Article Inspections, interprets specifications, documents results, maintains equipment, and assesses customer returns.
Must have:
  • Ensure assembly documentation is accurate and complete.
  • Observe assembly, lay-up, and torque operations.
  • Conduct dimensional inspections on parts and assemblies.
  • Examine raw materials, piece-parts, and final assemblies.
  • Produce First Article Inspections (FAI) in accordance with AS9102.
  • Interpret specifications, drawings, tolerances, and requirements.
  • Document inspection and test results through logs, graphs, reports, and local systems.
  • Uphold maintenance of test and measurement equipment and calibration systems.
  • Assess customer returns and implement necessary internal corrective actions.
  • Execute other tasks related to the position as directed by leadership.
Good to have:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Certification from a recognized quality institution like ASQ (American Society for Quality) is advantageous.
  • Certification in AS9100 or similar quality management standards in aerospace is a plus.
  • Exposure to Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.

Job Details

The Quality Inspector is a critical role in the manufacture of reliable, world-changing Unmanned Aerial Vehicles.

What You'll Do:

  • Ensure the assembly documentation is accurate and complete.

  • Conduct dimensional inspections on both parts and assemblies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field is preferred.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a Quality Inspector role within aerospace manufacturing or a related industry.
  • Experience in First Article Inspection (FAI) and familiarity with AS9102 standards.
  • Practical experience with various inspection techniques and equipment (CMM, calipers, micrometers, etc.).
  • Exposure to Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.

$24.86 - $37.30 an hour
