Job Description

The Foundry R&D Engineer contributes to the development of software products and supporting systems. In this role, the R&D Engineer will collaborate with a team of expert professionals to accomplish development objectives.
Must have:
  • Performs basic development activities, including the design, implementation, maintenance, testing and documentation of software modules and sub-systems
  • Learns and employs best practices
  • Performs basic bug verification, release testing and beta support for assigned products.
  • Researches problems discovered by QA or product support and develops solutions
  • Works under the close supervision of a development manager
  • M.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field with 2+ years of experience.
  • Solid knowledge in electromagnetics and microwave theory, including impedance matching, S-parameters and transmission line.
  • Experience in Ansys HFSS/SIwave/Q3D for any high-frequency analysis.
Good to have:
  • Familiar with SI/PI flow on system level or package level design.
  • Experience in High-speed Serdes and DDR simulations for signal integrity.
  • Experience in PDN extraction and transient analysis for power integrity.
  • Experience in different layout tools and strong knowledge in stack-up, metal/dielectric properties.
  • Experience in instruments like VNA, scope, time-domain reflectometry (TDR).
  • Better to have experience in correlation between simulation and measurements.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Sense of urgency, strong organizational and follow up skills
  • Familiarity with TCL, Python or Perl

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

  • M.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field with 2+ years of experience.
