As an Event & Conference-Focused Business Development Representative (BDR), you will be the primary representative of Ember at healthcare industry events, trade shows, and conferences. Your core responsibility will be to establish genuine connections with potential clients in real-time, educate them on how Ember can improve their operations, and generate qualified leads for the sales team. This role is for individuals who thrive in dynamic, high-energy environments, enjoy interacting with people, and excel at transforming conversations into business opportunities. You will represent Ember at various healthcare events nationwide, engage with healthcare professionals to generate high-quality leads, and effectively communicate Ember's mission and solutions. Collaboration with Sales and Marketing is key for event strategy, material preparation, and post-event lead follow-up. You will also be responsible for qualifying leads, identifying customer pain points, booking meetings, and reporting on event performance, lead quality, and return on investment (ROI). Travel to attend conferences and events will be required.

About the Role

As our Event & Conference-Focused BDR, you'll be the front-line representative of Ember at healthcare industry events, trade shows, and conferences. Your mission is to build genuine relationships with prospective customers in realtime, educate them on how Ember can transform their operations, and generate qualified leads for our sales team.

What You’ll Do

  • Represent Ember at healthcare conferences, trade shows, and industry events nationwide
  • Connect with healthcare professionals and generate high-quality leads
  • Share Ember’s mission and solutions in an engaging, authentic way based on your understanding of real healthcare workflows
  • Work closely with Sales and Marketing to strategize event presence, prep materials, and follow-up on leads post-event
  • Qualify leads in real-time, identify their pain points, and book meetings with customers
  • Track and report event performance, lead quality, and ROI
  • Travel as needed to attend conferences and events

Who You Are

  • You’ve worked in healthcare — ideally in a clinical, administrative, or operational role (practice coordinator, MA, nurse, or MD — we’re open)
  • You understand the challenges of healthcare operations from firsthand experience
  • You’re an excellent communicator who loves talking to people and making connections
  • You bring high energy, charisma, and empathy to every conversation
  • You’re highly organized and great at juggling multiple priorities during fast-moving events
  • You’re not afraid to get scrappy — you can adapt quickly, think on your feet, and thrive in a startup environment
  • Sales or business development experience is a plus, but not required if you’re a great relationship builder with industry insight
