Paytm, a leading Indian financial services company, is seeking a Refurbishment Manager (DGM) to oversee the supply chain, logistics, and refurbishment of sound box and EDC devices. The role involves managing daily operations, optimizing costs, and acting as the plant head for refurbishment activities. Key responsibilities include vendor onboarding and auditing, identifying and developing local suppliers for electronic components, coordinating procurement processes with RFQs, managing finance and billing with the finance department, overseeing OEM and EMS partners for production and repair goals, coordinating SCM and inventory management, and leading a team of vendor development engineers. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 10-12 years of experience in vendor development, sourcing, or supplier quality, with strong technical knowledge of electronics and mechanical components, experience with EMS partners and OEMs, and good understanding of supply chain, billing, and ERP systems. Excellent communication, negotiation, and project management skills, along with leadership experience, are essential.
Must have:

About the team:
The team works on managing the supply chain, logistics & refurbishment of sound box & EDC Devices.
About the role:
Working as Refurbishment Lead for Soundbox/POS Devices as plant head. Managing day to day activity, including Operations & Cost Optimization.
Expectations/ Requirements:
Vendor Onboarding & Auditing:
Identify, evaluate, and onboard new vendors. Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with quality and operational standards.
Part Localization & Development:
Work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to develop local suppliers for chargers, batteries, and plastic parts. Ensure suppliers meet required technical specifications and standards.
Procurement Coordination:
Collaborate with the purchasing team to float and close RFQs. Provide technical inputs and support cost negotiations as needed.
Finance & Billing Coordination:
Interface with the finance department to ensure timely invoice submissions, payment processing, and resolution of billing discrepancies.
OEM & EMS Partner Management:
Manage external manufacturing and service partners to achieve monthly production and repair goals. Ensure alignment on forecasts, capacity, and quality.
SCM & Inventory Management:
Coordinate with the supply chain team for inventory planning, stock level monitoring, and timely replenishment of parts and components.
Team Management:
Lead and mentor a team of vendor development engineers or executives. Set performance goals and ensure seamless communication within the team and across departments.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics preferred)
10-12 years of experience in vendor development, sourcing, or supplier quality roles
Strong technical understanding of electronics and mechanical components
Experience working with EMS partners and OEMs is highly desirable
Good knowledge of supply chain workflows, billing processes, and ERP systems
Strong communication, negotiation, and project management skills
Leadership experience in managing cross-functional teams
