Ninja Van is a tech-enabled logistics company operating across Southeast Asia. As a Regional Credit Senior Associate, you will be responsible for facilitating the introduction of new credit frameworks and products, as well as enhancing credit management solutions to improve credit performance for all financing products. Key responsibilities include supporting credit operational tasks, evaluating credit risk through KYC documentation and financial data analysis, and supporting the refinement of credit models. You will also assist in portfolio monitoring, controls implementation, and assessing the effectiveness of credit risk mitigation projects. The role requires a degree in a quantitative field and a minimum of 2 years of experience in credit risk management, statistics, or data analysis.
Must have:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in credit risk management, statistics, or data analysis
  • Ability to analyze trends in complex data sets
  • Strong fluency with Excel/Google Sheets
  • Critical thinking skills for credit data assessment
  • Effective written and verbal communication in English
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
Good to have:
  • Experience in quantitative analysis in financial services
  • Basic understanding of KYC concepts
  • Knowledge of Python, R, SQL or data aggregation software

The Regional Credit Senior Associate is required to facilitate new credit frameworks and/or products introduction as well as credit management solutions enhancements to improve credit performance for all financing products.

Responsibilities

    • Support in execution of all relevant credit operational and administrative tasks in systems/platform
    • Credit risk evaluation by analysing Know-Your-Customer (“KYC”) documentation and financial data
    • Support in the introduction of new credit models and refinements of existing frameworks for all credit products
    • Support credit management solutions enhancement to digitize new credit models and products
    • Assist in portfolio monitoring controls and processes implementation for new credit products
    • Perform ongoing portfolio monitoring and assessment of the effectiveness of credit risk identification and mitigation projects

Requirements

    • Degree in Finance, Business Analytics, Operations Research, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or in a related quantitative field of study
    • Minimum 2 years of working experience in credit risk management, statistics or data analysis
    • Existing experience performing quantitative analysis and assessment in the financial services industry preferred
    • Basic understanding of KYC concepts
    • Ability to perform identification, analysis, and interpretation of trends or patterns in complex data sets
    • Strong fluency with Excel/Google Sheets formulas and functions
    • Possess knowledge in usage of Python, R, SQL or any other data aggregation software for statistical modelling, forecasting and analysis
    • Possess critical thinking skills to assess and make insightful conclusions from credit data points
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills in English 
    • Must be able to work independently and as a team to deliver outcomes of consistent good quality within stipulated timeline in a dynamic environment
