About the Role

• We are seeking a highly skilled Engineering Manager with a passion for building world-class software and leading high-performing engineering teams. In this role, you will own the design, development, and delivery of critical systems that power Ninja Van’s fast-growing logistics platform. You will balance technical hands-on work with team leadership, mentoring engineers, driving architectural decisions, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and reliable solutions.

• As an Engineering Manager at Ninja Van, you will work on cutting-edge technologies like React and Golang, shaping the software that handles complex logistics operations across multiple regions. You will collaborate closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to solve challenging problems, optimize performance, and deliver innovative features that directly impact our business.

Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.
• Contribute as an individual contributor by designing, developing, and maintaining core systems using React and Golang.
• Own the architecture, implementation, and delivery of major product modules and features.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, and QA Engineers to ensure timely, high-quality releases.
• Develop and maintain APIs, integrate third-party services, and ensure seamless communication across systems.
• Drive technical discussions, conduct regular code reviews, and ensure adherence to engineering best practices.
• Oversee application performance, scalability, and reliability, implementing solutions for optimization.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, frameworks, and development practices to continually improve team capabilities.
• Foster a healthy and motivated team environment by setting clear goals, providing feedback, and supporting career growth.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of software development experience, including at least 2+ years in a technical leadership or managerial role.
• Proven hands-on experience in both front-end (React.js, TypeScript) and back-end (Golang preferred, Java acceptable) technologies.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful API design.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript, and modern build tools.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Sound knowledge of system design principles, scalability patterns, and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure is an advantage.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
