Role Purpose
Rare is seeking a talented Release Manager to join our Live Operations and Site Reliability Engineering team. In this role, you'll be responsible for overseeing the release of game updates and managing storefronts across multiple platforms. We're looking for an experienced professional who can enhance our release processes and contribute to our goal of becoming a successful multi-title studio. You'll collaborate closely with Rare's Release Manager to ensure high-quality updates are delivered promptly across various platforms.

Key Accountabilities
Facilitating the frequent release of game updates for live service titles while managing multi-platform storefronts.
Collaborating with Production, QA, and Live Ops teams to identify and mitigate risks associated with milestones and releases.
Developing innovative practices and structures to streamline release management across Rare.
Managing scheduling, coordination, quality control, and external certification processes for multiple platforms.
Ensuring all releases undergo necessary pre-checks and approvals before deployment.
Maintaining effective communication with stakeholders regarding the status of current and upcoming releases.
Maintaining existing release management documentation and updating with new information as process and tooling evolves and improves.
Desirable Experience
Strong project management and communication skills.
Previous experience setting up and releasing content on Microsoft, Steam, and Sony platforms.
Technical proficiency with PCs, gaming consoles, and related hardware.
Familiarity with platform certification processes.
Understanding of the game development lifecycle, particularly with live service titles.
Background in the Games Industry (Release, Live Ops, Production, or QA).
Experience managing technical programs across cross-functional teams, including process development and release schedule coordination.
