Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and creative Resort Event Organiser to join our team at a luxurious resort in Doha, Qatar. As the Resort Event Organiser, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing a wide range of events, from intimate gatherings to large-scale conferences and weddings. This role requires a passionate professional who can create unforgettable experiences for our guests while maintaining the highest standards of service and efficiency.

  • Conceptualize, plan, and manage various events, including corporate meetings, weddings, social gatherings, and holiday celebrations
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and requirements, providing expert advice and creative solutions
  • Develop detailed event proposals, including timelines, budgets, and logistics
  • Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., catering, housekeeping, security) to ensure seamless event execution
  • Negotiate and manage relationships with external vendors and suppliers
  • Oversee event setup, execution, and breakdown, ensuring all details are perfect and timelines are met
  • Create and implement marketing strategies to promote the resort's event services
  • Monitor event budgets and maintain financial records
  • Conduct post-event evaluations and prepare reports for management
  • Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate innovative ideas into event planning
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and safety standards

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality Management, or related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in event planning, preferably in the hospitality or resort industry
  • Proven track record of successfully planning and executing diverse events
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, vendors, and team members
  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with event management software
  • Creative problem-solving skills and ability to think on your feet
  • Detail-oriented with a keen eye for aesthetics and design
  • Strong budgeting and financial management skills
  • Knowledge of hospitality and tourism industry trends
  • Familiarity with local culture and customs in Qatar
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) or Certified Special Events Professional (CSEP) are preferred
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic or other languages is a plus
