Job Description

ByteDance's Pico division seeks an RF Hardware Engineer/Architect in San Jose. Responsibilities include wireless front-end architecture (antenna design, component specification, RF circuit design), system characterization and optimization, failure analysis, and proposing new architectures. The ideal candidate will have experience with wireless systems (Bluetooth, WiFi, UWB), antenna and circuit design, RF simulation tools, and RF equipment. Understanding of system-level grounding, shielding, and EMI mitigation is preferred, along with basic software/scripting skills. The role involves creating and improving hardware for VR/AR devices within a dynamic and innovative environment.

We have teams in Europe, Japan and South Korea. Now we are looking for experts in image pipeline to join us to build our AR/VR imaging team. Responsibilities: - Responsible for wireless front-end architecture including antenna design, component specification and RF circuit design. - Perform characterization, design optimization and failure analysis for RF system. - Propose new RF front-end hardware architecture given the constraints of form factor and power budget

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification: - MS or above degree in EE, CS or relevant fields. - Familiar with one or more wireless systems like Bluetooth, WiFi or UWB - Experience of antenna design, circuit design and layout and associated RF simulation and design tools. - Knowledge of RF component characteristics and experience using RF equipment including spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, signal generator and oscilloscopes. 【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (Annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $162000 - $408000 annually.​
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.​
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).​
