Xepelin was born in Chile in 2019 and, since then, we have raised over USD 145 million in equity and USD 300 million in asset-backed facilities to boost growth throughout the region, especially in the countries where we currently operate, Chile and Mexico. The last equity round was USD 111 million, a record in Chile and one of the largest in Latin America for a FinTech.

Main responsibilities

• Automate risk decisions using decision trees, ensuring an agile and efficient process.
• Collaborate with internal teams to identify critical business problems and propose innovative data-driven solutions.
• Work closely with key stakeholders (product managers, data, finance teams) to ensure objective alignment and maximize business impact.
• Analyze and evaluate credit risks for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), supporting the creation of clear and structured rules for decision-making.

What do you need to shine?

• Have studied Mathematics, Engineering, Actuarial Science, Economics, or Finance.
• Have between 0-2 years of experience.
• Have an advanced level of SQL, ability to analyze large volumes of data and generate accurate reports that support decision-making.
• Ability to analyze complex situations, break down problems into manageable parts, and generate logical solutions.
• Learning ability.
• Logic (we seek to take day-to-day underwriting to clear and structured rules; for this, logic is fundamental; you will need to generate/think of rules that cover the largest possible number of cases so as not to leave loose ends).
• Excellent interpersonal skills (stakeholders, SME risk, strategy, revenue, growth, monetization, data, product).
