Working Hours: Match-days only. The working day starts around 6.5 hours pre-kick-off and ends around one hour after the match (Approximately 9.5 hours per match-day)
Salary: You will be paid a base rate of £12.50 per hour plus rolled-up holiday pay of £1.51 per hour

The Role
Hawk-Eye provides Medical, Citing and Television Match Official (TMO) video replay services at all Rugby fixtures across the United Rugby Championship (URC) teams based in Ireland, Scotland, Wales and Italy. We are looking for a reliable and tech-savvy individual to join our team in South Wales, to support our on-site operations across domestic games in South Wales (covering Scarlets, Ospreys, Cardiff Rugby and Dragons RFC).
This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of sports technology across major sporting events. You will be part of a dynamic team delivering world-class tech solutions, designed to make rugby safer, fairer and more engaging.
All fixtures take place on Friday evenings, Saturdays and Sundays, with the season running from September through to June. We will require you to be regularly available across URC & EPCR rounds during these periods.
We provide services across a wide number of local and global Rugby events, including domestic UK & European club competitions, international fixtures and major World Rugby events. As part of our wider rugby team, you may have the opportunity to work at these events.
Key Responsibilities
Installation and setup of Hawk-Eye technology on Match Day
Conduct detailed pre-match checks of the system in accordance with standard procedures
Providing technical support during the match, supporting the Match Day Doctor and other medical staff, Citing Commissioner, Match Officials and Analysts
Accurate logging and post-match clipping of medical, citing and TMO events identified by matchday personnel
Liaise with our Rugby Remote Support team to ensure smooth setup and match operations
Coordinate with on-site host broadcasters to integrate with our Hawk-Eye services
Monitoring hardware and software performance
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues alongside our Remote Support team using your technical knowledge and problem-solving skills
Taking full responsibility for our system on-site, representing Hawk-Eye with professionalism and confidence
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Technical background, comfortable with computer hardware and software
Ideally with or studying for a university degree in science, technology, engineering or relevant equivalent experience
Bright and enterprising with excellent organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills
Proactive, responsible attitude with the ability to work on your initiative
Strong team player with the ability to cooperate effectively alongside another on-site Hawk-Eye team member
Time management skills and the ability to work in a high-pressure, procedural, live broadcast environment
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients and stakeholders
An interest in rugby and/or rugby analysis
Able to adapt to flexible working conditions with irregular working days, including weekends and longer days
