Job Description

We are looking for a motivated Sales Development Representative with an entrepreneurial spirit to join our founding Sales Development team in Singapore. As an early member, you will play a key role in defining our sales and customer success strategy, influencing product development, and driving business revenue. Your responsibilities will include prospecting and developing new accounts, educating potential customers about Notion's capabilities, qualifying leads, and generating new opportunities through outbound activities via email, phone, and LinkedIn. You will also hold meetings with prospective customers to understand their business challenges, help build sales playbooks, and collaborate with marketing and GTM teams on performance initiatives and product launches.
Must have:
  • 1+ years of experience in sales or sales development in SaaS tech or high-growth environment
  • Experience making cold calls to decision makers
  • Track record of high achievement and exceeding quotas
  • Engaging customer skills with high cognitive empathy
  • Passion for talking to customers and learning about their needs
Good to have:
  • Builder's mentality, collaborative, comfort with ambiguity
  • Growth mindset, positive attitude, solutions-oriented
  • Strong technical understanding for speaking about implementations
  • Native Mandarin and fluent English skills

Notion is an in person company, and currently requires its employees to come to the office for two Anchor Days (Mondays & Thursdays) and requests that employees spend the majority of their week in the office (including a third day).

About The Role:

We're looking for a motivated Sales Development Representative with an entrepreneurial and building spirit to join our founding Sales Development team! The Asia-Pacific region has been one of the most important markets for us. As an early member of the team, you'll be instrumental in helping define our sales and customer success motion, meaningfully shape our future product, and drive business revenue, all while having a blast doing it!

What You'll Achieve:

  • Prospect and develop new potential accounts by educating contacts about how they can increase their team's collaboration, transparency, and productivity with Notion
  • Qualify those prospects to determine whether or not they’re a good fit for Notion
  • Help connect the dots between customer challenges and solutions we offer
  • Experiment on outbound activity to decision makers with customized messaging and channels to generate net-new opportunities
  • Reach out to prospects via email, phone, and LinkedIn to educate them on our product/service
  • Hold meetings with prospective customers to understand their business challenges and goals
  • Help build playbooks and define our sales motion
  • Hold ownership over pipeline generation tactics and strategic approaches
  • Learn about our product inside and out and be able to give demos customized to the needs of different personas
  • Collaborate and influence on performance initiatives, product launches and service innovation when working with cross-functional partners
    • Work with our Global and Regional Marketing team to build strong program feedback loops
    • Work with our Global GTM team to hit revenue & pipeline generation targets

Skills You'll Need to Bring:

  • You have 1yrs+ experience in sales or sales development in SaaS tech or a high growth environment
  • Experience making cold calls to decision makers
  • A track record of high achievement in current and previous roles, hitting or exceeding quotas
  • Engaging and compelling customer skills - high cognitive empathy and ability to craft stories tailored to the customer
  • You LOVE talking to customers; Always interested in digging deeper and learning more about their needs

  • A growth mindset, positive attitude and ability to view challenges as learning opportunities, not failures
  • You've got strong technical chops — comfort with speaking about technical implementations.
