Activision Blizzard Media, an embedded business unit of King, is scaling its advertising business and seeking a passionate, innovative Sales Manager. This role involves working on an agency team to elevate their media offering, sharing their story in the market, and building relationships within the NYC advertising agency landscape. The ideal candidate is an experienced senior seller with previous media or ad technology experience, generating demand for Digital Media Sales. Responsibilities include cultivating strategic partnerships, overseeing high-value accounts, ensuring mutual success, and managing escalations.
Must have:
  • Cultivate and build relationships with strategic investment partners at agency holding companies and clients.
  • Oversee several existing high-value partnerships with support from sales management.
  • Ensure mutual success between the customer and Activision Blizzard Media while maximizing the potential of the relationship.
  • Manage business and technical escalations and continually communicate requirements to all stakeholders, internal and external.
  • Media experience in an ad agency partnership or direct media sales capacity.
  • Strong relationships throughout the New York market.
  • Working knowledge of programmatic execution and understanding of technology.
  • Demonstrated experience in a sales-focused or partnership role selling through agencies.
  • Ability to articulate complex requirements to achieve results.
  • Comfortable building and managing relationships across business stakeholders, internal and external.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with experience working through cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated track record of exceeding client and revenue expectations.

Your Role Within the Kingdom

Activision Blizzard is scaling its advertising business, Activision Blizzard Media, an embedded business unit of King—the makers of the #1 mobile game, Candy Crush Saga, and a wholly owned subsidiary of Activision Blizzard.

ABM is seeking a passionate, innovative, and broad-thinking Sales Manager to work on an agency team and help take our media offering to the next level.

This is an opportunity for you to share our story in the market and build relationships within the NYC advertising agency holding company landscape. We’re looking for an experienced senior seller with previous experience working within Media and/or Ad Technology, generating demand for Digital Media Sales. A focus on Publicis is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate and build relationships with strategic investment partners at agency holding companies and clients.

Skills to Create Thrills

  • Media experience in an ad agency partnership or direct media sales capacity
  • Strong relationships throughout the New York market (focus on Publicis, preferred but not required)
  • Working knowledge of programmatic execution and understanding of technology, e.g.. Google Ad Manager, video/mobile media products, audience targeting, and the programmatic landscape
  • Demonstrated experience in a sales-focused or partnership role selling through agencies
  • Ability to articulate complex requirements to achieve results
  • Comfortable building and managing relationships across business stakeholders, internal and external
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with experience working through cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated track record of exceeding client and revenue expectations
