Rebellion Publishing is seeking a Sales Operations Assistant for a 12-month fixed-term contract at their Oxford HQ. This entry-level role involves optimizing sales processes, analyzing data, and managing stock. Responsibilities include maintaining metadata, handling customer orders, supporting sales managers, and managing distribution. The position offers a creative atmosphere and a relocation package, providing an excellent opportunity to join an award-winning publisher.
Must have:
  • Keep publishing metadata accurate, up to date, and on schedule across all imprints.
  • Track and analyse sales and stock data, recommending reprints and spotting opportunities.
  • Monitor frontlist and backlist stock to ensure the right books are in the right place at the right time.
  • Be the go-to link between distribution, sales, production, editorial, and finance.
  • Create impactful sell-in materials that help our sales team shine in meetings.
  • Work closely with distributors, warehouses, and fulfilment partners to keep operations running smoothly.
  • Manage special order requirements, from packaging to customs paperwork.
  • Make sure direct customer orders are processed and invoiced without delay.
Good to have:
  • Publishing degree (BA or MA) or equivalent knowledge/experience is a bonus.
  • Previous publishing or office/admin experience is helpful but not essential.

Rebellion Publishing is seeking an enthusiastic, confident and well-organised Sales Operations Assistant to join our team! This is a full-time, fixed-term contract for 12 months, based at our Oxford HQ.

Sales operations executives play a vital role in driving the success of a company's sales and production team. They are responsible for optimizing sales processes, analyzing data, management of stock holding and ensuring the smooth operation of sales activities

The role includes maintaining metadata, handling the operational and logistical aspects of customer/specials orders, support sales managers with presentations and reports. Working on the company’s stock management, managing reprint recommendations, and book, comic and tabletop game distribution to provide support in the smooth running of all sales operations related functions.

This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone wanting to take their first steps within an incredibly creative, innovative and award-winning publisher, as part of a successful and highly motivated team.

This role is based at our riverside headquarters in Oxford, offering a creative and relaxed atmosphere where teamwork drives our success. What You’ll Be Doing

Requirements

  • Strong administrative and organisational skills.
  • Confident using Excel and other MS Office programs.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build productive relationships.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Quick to learn new processes and systems.
  • Self-assured and able to work well under pressure.
  • Publishing degree (BA or MA) or equivalent knowledge/experience is a bonus.
  • Previous publishing or office/admin experience is helpful but not essential.
