Job Description

As a Scaled Customer Success Manager at Notion, you will be responsible for driving adoption and expansion for a large portfolio of customers in Japan. You will host onboarding, training, and working sessions to educate customers and explore new use cases. You will also design and run at-scale Customer Success programs, and help build the foundations of Customer Success at Notion. You will be instrumental in helping define customer success motions, meaningfully shaping the future product, and driving business revenue.
Must have:
  • 3+ years experience at a fast growing software company
  • Track record of success in Customer Success or Account Management
  • Experience of managing a large volume of accounts
  • Growth mindset and thrives in a building stage team
  • Motivated by seeing others succeed
  • Highly adaptable, easily acclimating to a rapidly changing business and industry
  • Loves getting to know new people and helping them solve their business problems
  • Speaks Japanese (Native level) and English (Business level)
Good to have:
  • Built Customer Success playbooks or processes
  • Experience in scaled program management or building adoption campaigns
  • Experience using Notion
  • Curious about data and insights, and has used Salesforce and Gainsight before
  • Been a first or early hire at a fast growing start up before

Notion is an in person company, and currently requires its employees to come to the office for two Anchor Days (Mondays & Thursdays) and requests that employees spend the majority of their week in the office (including a third day).

About The Role:

At Notion we love our customers and we hope they love our product too. Our Customer Success team provides our business customers with a first class experience and aims to drive maximum value against their requirements, driving product adoption and utilization through a range of tactics to ensure a strong account health score.

We're looking for a motivated Customer Success Manager with an entrepreneurial and building spirit to join our team! The Japan region has been one of the most important markets for us. As an early member of the team, you'll be instrumental in helping define our customer success motion, meaningfully shape our future product, and drive business revenue, all while having a blast doing it!

What You'll Achieve:

  1. Drive adoption and expansion for a large portfolio of customers in Japan: You'll host onboarding, training and working sessions to educate our customers and dig deep into new use cases of Notion.
  2. Design and run at-scale Customer Success programs: You’ll create and publish digital resources to help our customers maximize their opportunity with Notion.
  3. Help build the foundations of Customer Success at Notion: As an early member of our sales/success team, you'll be instrumental in helping define our sales assisted motions.
  4. Meaningfully shape our future product: As you engage with customers, you'll gain insights to help us serve them better — and work with product to inform what we do next.
  5. Elevate your skills as we tackle our most impactful challenges: We've achieved more than teams 10x our size in less time — and there's so much more to do and learn.

Skills You'll Need to Bring:

  • 3+ years experience at a fast growing software company
  • You have a track record of success in your current Customer Success or Account Management role
  • Experience of managing a large volume of accounts
  • You have a growth mindset and thrive in the building stage of a nascent team
  • You’re motivated by seeing others succeed and grow when you partner with them
  • You’re highly adaptable, easily acclimating to a rapidly changing business and industry
  • You love getting to know new people and helping them solve their business problems
  • You speak Japanese (Native level) and English (Business level)

Nice to Haves:

  • You've built Customer Success playbooks or processes
  • You have experience in scaled program management, or building adoption campaigns
  • You have experience using Notion
  • You are curious about data and insights, and have used Salesforce and Gainsight before
  • You've been a first or early hire at a fast growing start up before
