About the Opportunity

What You’ll Be Doing

• Maintain accurate financial records for both fiat and crypto transactions
• Reconcile accounts, including crypto wallets.
• Apply appropriate accounting standards (eg. IFRS) to all business transactions.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements for external audits, regulatory reporting/inquiries, and management reporting
• Assist in the alignment of the month-end closing process for the local entity and integrate the close with the consolidated group
• Assist with the local OKX Bahamas financial statements audit
• Develop effective and automated processes for financial reporting and analytics
• Assist in navigating the regulatory landscape, including staying on top of evolving reporting requirements and tax mandates in the Bahamas jurisdiction

What We Look For In You

• BS or BA in Accounting, Finance or Economics, or related field.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in the financial services, payments, fintech, or crypto industries
• Knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS) and tax regulations
• Understanding of the cost management framework and how to connect it with a systematic AP process
• The skillset to work within the demands of a fast-paced startup environment
• Experience managing complex projects end to end involving multiple stakeholders
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and clearly articulate outcomes to management.
• Self-starting problem solver, able to self-identify and execute new tasks as they emerge, and solve problems proactively to full completion without significant direction

Nice to Haves

• CPA (or equivalent), preferred
• Experience in public accounting / auditing
• Experience working across time zones and cross cultural teams
• Bonus points if you have previously worked at a crypto exchange!
• Passionate about blockchain technology and the crypto payments space
