Job Description
As a Senior Android Developer at BeReal, you'll build features aligned with the project architecture, collaborating on architectural decisions and ensuring best practices. You'll translate designs from FIGMA into robust code for millions of users, participate in product strategy, and take ownership of deployment and monitoring. The role involves working with Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Room/Sqlite, Flows/Coroutines, and other Android technologies within a GCP-based infrastructure. You'll be responsible for ensuring the performance and stability of the app used by millions of users, contributing to BeReal's mission of fostering authentic connections.

Role
- Build your feature following the project architecture, while collaborating on architectural decisions and ensuring best practices.
- Challenge and implement the designs provided in FIGMA, along with the product guidelines.
- Participate in the product strategy.
- Write robust code to be used by millions of users.
- Take responsibility for the deployment and monitoring of an app serving millions of users.
Our Stack
- Infrastructure: GCP, Kubernetes, Pub/Sub, GitHub actions, and ArgoCD.
- Backend: Go, Node.js (NestJS, Nx, Typescript), database: Spanner, PostgreSQL, Redis.
- Frontend (Android): Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Room / Sqlite database, Flow / Coroutines, ExoPlayer, media3, CameraX, Retrofit, Grpc
