PwC is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tester to join their dynamic team. The role involves ensuring the quality and reliability of software products through manual and automated testing. Responsibilities include designing, developing, and executing test cases, conducting various types of testing (functional, sanity, regression, integration, system), identifying and documenting bugs, collaborating with cross-functional teams, creating test documentation, performing test automation, and participating in Agile ceremonies. The ideal candidate will contribute to driving excellence, reducing risk, and delivering high-value solutions.
Must have:
  • Minimum 5 years of software testing experience (manual and automation)
  • Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC
  • Experience with JIRA, TestRail
  • Proficiency in Selenium, TestNG, or JUnit
  • Knowledge of Java, Python, or JavaScript for automation
  • Familiarity with Postman or REST Assured
  • Ability to write SQL queries
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
Good to have:
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Exposure to JMeter or LoadRunner
  • Experience with Jenkins or GitLab CI
  • Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • ISTQB or equivalent certification
  • Experience in consulting or client-facing roles

Job Description & Summary: We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Tester to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software products through manual and automated testing practices. This role is critical in driving excellence, reducing risk, and delivering high-value solutions to our clients. 

Responsibilities: 

 

1. Design, develop, and execute test cases based on software requirements and technical specifications. 

2. Conduct functional, sanity, regression, integration, and system testing. 

3. Identify, document, and track bugs using standard bug tracking tools. 

4. Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and project managers to understand requirements and resolve issues. 

5. Create and maintain test documentation including test plans, test cases, and test scripts, and test reports. 

6. Perform test automation using appropriate tools and frameworks. 

7. Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. 

8. Ensure compliance with PwC’s quality assurance processes and standards. 

 

Mandatory skill sets: 

 

1. Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in software testing (manual and automation). 

2. Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC. 

3. Experience with test case management and bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail). 

4. Proficiency in at least one test automation tool (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, JUnit). 

5. Knowledge of scripting/programming languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript for automation. 

6. Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST Assured). 

7. Good understanding of databases and ability to write SQL queries. 

8. Excellent communication and analytical skills. 

 

Preferred skill sets: 

Experience in Agile/Scrum environments. 

Exposure to performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner). 

Experience with CI/CD tools and pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI). 

Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). 

ISTQB or equivalent certification. 

Experience working in a consulting or client-facing environment.

BE/ B.Tech/ M.Tech/ MCA
