Job Description
The Senior BD Manager will be responsible for shaping the future of crypto payments by building strategic partnerships, driving go-to-market strategies, and expanding OKX Pay into new geographic regions. This includes identifying and managing partnerships with payment service providers, Web3 wallets, merchants, and financial platforms. The role involves working with product, marketing, and operations teams to ensure partner success, and contributing to product roadmap by providing feedback. The ideal candidate will define OKRs, report on partner success, and propose incentive programs to accelerate adoption.
Must have:
- 3-7 years of BD experience in crypto or fintech.
- Strong understanding of Web3 and on-chain payments.
- Experience structuring and closing partnerships for growth.
- Experience driving go-to-market strategies.
- Existing relationships in Web3 payment ecosystem.
Good to have:
- Knowledge of payment blockchain ecosystem development.
- Previous experience in startups or high-growth environments.
- Multilingual capabilities, especially Mandarin.

About the Opportunity
Crypto payments are on the brink of transforming global commerce—dramatically lowering transaction costs and enabling entirely new applications. Now, our newly established OKX Pay and Chain team is looking for an experienced and driven Business Development Manager to help shape the future of this ecosystem. What You’ll Be Doing
Strategic Partnerships
- Identify, initiate, and manage partnerships with payment service providers (PSPs), Web3 wallets, merchants, dApps, stablecoin issuers, and financial platforms.
- Secure onboarding of key ecosystem partners to drive OKX Pay adoption and integrate X Layer as a core payment blockchain.
Ecosystem Development
- Design and execute go-to-market strategies to build the OKX Pay and X Layer partner ecosystem.
- Work with product, marketing, and operations teams to ensure partner success and long-term engagement.
Market Expansion
- Lead BD efforts to expand OKX Pay into new geographic regions and user verticals, with a focus on high-potential use cases such as P2P transfers, remittances, and crypto payments for goods/services.
- Understand local market regulations, user behavior, and payment infrastructure.
Product Feedback & Co-Development
- Act as the voice of partners and users to influence product roadmap and help tailor solutions to market needs.
- Collaborate with the product team on API design, wallet/payment integrations, and UX improvements.
Performance & Growth
- Define OKRs and regularly report on partner success, user growth, transaction volume, and other relevant metrics.
- Design and propose incentive programs or co-marketing campaigns to accelerate adoption
What We Look For In You
- 3–7 years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or ecosystem growth in crypto, fintech, payments, or financial services.
- Strong understanding of Web3, stablecoins, and on-chain payments, including knowledge of major ecosystems (e.g., Ethereum, Polygon, Solana, etc.).
- Demonstrated success in structuring, negotiating, and closing partnerships that led to measurable growth (e.g., user acquisition, volume, market penetration).
- Experience driving go-to-market strategies for new products or markets.
- Existing relationships with key players in the Web3 payment ecosystem—wallets, dApps, merchants, PSPs, stablecoin projects, etc.
- Comfortable working across different time zones and cultures.
Nice to Haves
- Knowledge of payment blockchain ecosystem development or mini app development.
- Previous experience in startups in 0-1 phase or high-growth environments.
- Multilingual capabilities, especially in Mandarin, to support regional expansion.
