Your Mission:

Blizzard Entertainment is seeking a passionate and strategic Senior Brand Manager to join the team behind one of the most iconic MMORPGs of all time, World of Warcraft. As a key member of our Brand Marketing Team—the storytellers of our brand—you will be dedicated to crafting narratives that inspire and resonate across the globe. You will create campaigns that capture hearts and minds, ensuring World of Warcraft’s presence is not only felt and remembered in every market but also re-establishes WoW’s place in the cultural zeitgeist.

We are looking for a creative visionary who can lead the development of inspiring and cohesive external marketing campaigns that reflect WoW’s product and brand essence, connecting with audiences on an emotional level. As the Senior Brand Manager, you will lead the creative direction and execution of global marketing campaigns for World of Warcraft's expansion launches and ongoing content updates. You will guide the development of visuals, messaging, and content that bring the brand story to life across all platforms. Collaborating with a team of dedicated marketers, you will ensure that all external communications align with the brand's voice, positioning, and strategic vision, maintaining a unified brand presence across all channels.

What you bring to the table:

Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

  • Evocative Campaign Development: Lead the creation of inspiring and cohesive external marketing campaigns that reflect the product’s and brand’s essence and connect with audiences on an emotional level.
  • Creative Direction: Guide the development of visuals, messaging, and content that bring the brand story to life across all platforms.
  • Brand Consistency: Ensure that all external communications align with the brand’s voice, positioning, and strategic vision, maintaining a unified brand presence across all channels.
  • Global Campaign Consistency: Ensure that global campaigns are executed consistently across all territories, collaborating with Product Marketing to support local adaptations while maintaining the core brand message.
  • Strategic Budget Input: Provide vital input in budget discussions to advocate for the necessary resources to execute effective brand campaigns.
  • Market Research: Conduct thorough market research to understand player behaviors, emerging trends, and the strategies of competing games.
  • Cultural Relevance: Focus on bringing the brand back to the forefront of cultural relevance, ensuring that campaigns resonate with the cultural zeitgeist.
  • Measure Campaign Effectiveness: Establish key performance indicators and use analytics to assess the effectiveness of campaigns, adapting strategies as needed.

Minimum Requirements

Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 6+ years of experience in brand marketing, creative agency account management (or equivalent client-side position) or video game industry
  • Experience in TV, Video, Packaging, and Online Advertising required

Knowledge & Skills

  • Demonstrated experience in project management, analysis and the ability to work across multiple teams
  • Proven team leader with people/agency management experience

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $105,120.00 - $194,400.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role’s range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
