In this Sr. Business Development Role, you will be predominantly prospect-focused, owning the outreach and go-to-market strategy execution within your named accounts in the South European region. Operating with a creative and entrepreneurial mindset, you will drive interactions and build/nurture relationships. Your goal will be to build a solid and sustainable sales pipeline across Blue Yonder’s market-leading portfolio and platform. You will work closely with Marketing, Sales, Alliances, Industry Strategy, and Solution Advisory practices, as well as a highly skilled Business Development team. Responsibilities include using prospecting strategies for initial outreach, building relationships with key decision-makers (C-levels), collecting and analyzing customer needs, identifying and qualifying leads, recommending Blue Yonder products and services, covering assigned territories, participating in sales opportunity reviews, achieving quarterly lead generation goals, communicating effectively with sales management, qualifying inbound and outbound leads, creating and analyzing lead-generation programs, tracking sales activities in the CRM system, overcoming objections, and actively participating in the innovation of new marketing techniques and strategies to secure new accounts.
Must have:
  • Minimum 3 years inside sales/telemarketing in software
  • Bachelor Degree in Management, Business, Commercial, or Technology
  • Personable, outgoing, helpful, initiating conversations
  • Proven exceptional lead generation results
  • Experience in a team sales environment
  • Able to handle projects with minimal direction
  • Knowledge of SFA/CRM/Contact Manager software
  • Superior oral and written communication skills
  • Fluent in English and Spanish or Italian
  • Minimal travel required
Good to have:
  • Experience with Salesforce.com is a plus

Your goal will be to build a solid and sustainable sales pipeline across the breadth of Blue Yonder’s market leading portfolio and platform.

What You’ll Do: 

 

  • Use prospecting strategies to lead initial outreach to prospects and build relationships with key decision makers at targeted accounts (C levels) 

  • Collect & analyze potential customer’s critical business needs and challenges, identify and qualify their budget, timelines, business issues and obstacles for hand off to appropriate sales individual. 

  • Determine prospect’s interest and make recommendations on appropriate Blue Yonder product and services options 

  • Work the assigned territory and cover as many contacts as possible 

  • Participate in the sales opportunity reviews and reach out and collaborate with the appropriate Account Managers in your territory 

  • Achieve quarterly lead generation goals set by sales management 

  • Communicate effectively with sales management in-person, via phone, e-mail and regular updates in the system 

  • Use independent judgment to qualify and validate inbound and outbound leads via the phone, web, email, corporate events and direct mail campaigns 

  • Use independent judgment to create, analyze and execute pre-packaged multi-part marketing and lead-generation programs 

  • Track relevant sales activities & admin in the sales system (e.g. call activity, lead qualification details, lead pipeline, opportunity pipeline) to aid in maintaining communications within sales 

  • Use professional experience to overcome objections and effectively communicate BY’s value propositions to key decision makers regarding appropriate BY product offerings 

  • Actively participate in the innovation of new techniques and strategies for marketing BY’s products in order to secure new accounts 

 

What we are looking for: 

 

  • Minimum 3 years inside sales/telemarketing w/ experience in the software industry 

  • Bachelor Degree in Management, Business, Commercial, Technology 

  • Personable, outgoing, helpful, able to initiate conversation and communications in an engaging manner 

  • Proven track record of exceptional lead generation results 

  • Experience working in a team sales environment 

  • Able to handle projects with minimal direction 

  • Knowledge of SFA/CRM/Contact Manager software required; experience with Salesforce.com a plus 

  • Superior oral and written communication skills – Fluent in English and either Spanish or Italian 

  • Minimal travel required
