The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst will join the Business Intelligence (BI) team to provide consistent, accurate, and timely reporting and analysis for internal client groups and Optiv leadership. This role involves guiding and evolving Optiv's data analytics approach. Responsibilities include acting as a trusted partner to business unit leadership, ensuring they have necessary data and insights, maintaining and delivering reports, scorecards, and dashboards within Optiv’s BI platform, managing ad-hoc requests, providing clear and innovative approaches to data analysis, performing quality assurance, anticipating stakeholder needs, and collaborating with peers in BI, Finance & Strategy, and IT for data alignment.
Must have:
  • Minimum 4 years experience in business intelligence, data analysis, and visualization
  • Minimum 4 years experience with BI tools like Domo, Power BI, or Tableau
  • Experience with Salesforce, NetSuite & Jira
  • Proficiency in SQL
  • Ability to present information effectively to leaders
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage ambiguity
Good to have:
  • Two years experience with Domo
  • Graduate degree (MBA preferred)
  • Experience implementing/maintaining enterprise-level BI solutions
  • Knowledge of the cyber security industry

Job Details

This position will be hired within the Kansas City metro and report into the Leawood office 3 days per week.

The Sr. Business Intelligence Analyst will join the Business Intelligence (BI) team in its mission to provide consistent, accurate, and timely reporting and analysis for assigned internal client groups and Optiv leadership while helping to guide and evolve Optiv’s approach to data analytics.

How you'll make an impact:

  • Act as a trusted partner to assigned business unit leadership with minimal oversight, helping them establish and follow a reporting roadmap

  • Ensure the business unit leadership have the data and insight needed to successfully run their business 

  • Maintenance and delivery of reports, scorecards and dashboards within Optiv’s Business Intelligence platform

  • Management and processing of all ad-hoc requests from respective business unit(s) 

  • Provide business unit clear, innovative approaches to understanding and analyzing their data

  • Perform continual quality assurance on all materials being presented to internal clients

  • Prioritize and proactively anticipate the needs of stakeholders

  • Work closely with peers in Business Intelligence, Finance & Strategy and IT to ensure alignment of data and reporting

What we're looking for:

  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis and data visualization

  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience working with Domo, Power BI, Tableau or similar business intelligence tool

  • Experience working with Salesforce, NetSuite & Jira (at minimum, comparable systems)

  • College degree, B.S. or higher in area of Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, Accounting or Business Administration or related analytical field

  • Proficiency in using query languages such as SQL to interact with structured tables in a database

  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to internal clients, including executive level leaders

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as data presentation background are a must

  • Strong proficiency in fundamentals of Microsoft Excel, including but not limited to, pivot tables, data models, formulas, custom calculations, lookups, and data validation

  • Outstanding time management and organizational skills required

  • Ability to prioritize and manage through ambiguity with limited supervision

  • Two (2)+ years experience working with Domo preferred

  • Graduate degree, M.B.A preferred

  • Experience implementing and maintaining enterprise-level business intelligence solution preferred

  • Knowledge of the cyber security industry preferred
